Took my daughter to the Danbury mall this afternoon.....there's a brewery over there now? (Where Barnes and Nobles used to be.)

Mall breweries scare me. No thank you. Better bet is to hit the beer nirvana that is the beer department (and bar) at the Brewster DeCicco’s.

Mmmm...

Elicit Brewing…their third location.

Honestly, looks like it’s more of a restaurant wearing a brewery costume.

“Beer Expert - I want a beer with a lobster on the can. Can you help me?”

Of course, I can help you. Here is a beer with a lobster on the can.

Tasty, refreshing, everything a beer needs to be if you are an independent thinker. I actually think some of the IPA loons would like this one. If nothing else, it would match the Vineyard Vines man purse their wives bought for them.

“Beer Expert - I am stranded at the top of a mountain in Tbilisi, Georgia and I am very thirsty! Can you recommend a beer?!”

Of course, I can. I recommend you not get this one - Black Lion Helles. Just was not particularly good. Atmosphere - 10/10. View - 10/10. Food - 10/10. Beer - 4/10.

Georgia has an absolutely amazing “third space” scene. Far better than we have here. As for booze…they invented wine and are all in brewing now, but this is not one of their better efforts.

Their beer is horrific.

I kinda figured.

They have a billboard in Danbury advertising that they have made Danbury into Dan-beer-y. I am boycotting them for that alone.

From White River Junction, River Roost Brewing. Here, an excellent citra-laden quaff.

This is perfectly fine. A legitimately good beach beer with modern hop character.

At their Manchester site, they have a bunch of guest taps. Thank God.

Absolutely delicious 8% DIPA, brewed with Galaxy, Citra and Riwaka. Hazy, but not a meal replacement drink. Very easy going down. Denver’s Lyric Brewing.

Funniest thing…when we drove past it, my daughter said, “looks like Chuck E Cheese opened a brewery.”
What's wrong with it? Do the guys who work there not have long enough beards? Are there only 4 cornhole sets on the patio?

Hey you insufferable beer snobs. Come back to earth. There was someone here lauding a beer with cocao nibs, vanilla, coconut and peanuts last week for chrissakes.
