I could use a Marlowes mule.Between this news, the presence of Caius Farm Brewery and the acquisition of the Stewards of the Land Brewery property in Northford by the folks at Kent Falls, that could be a fun and easy beer sipping day trip for me from Stamford. Throw in a few fish and chips stops and a designated driver and I’ll be in heaven.
When I make that Branford trip, you have my assurance that I will offer to mule for you.I could use a Marlowes mule.
I’m not a witbier guy at all. Probably haven’t had a Blue Moon in over a decade. But the @Fishy witbier post from Georgia (the country) inspired me to give the new Marlowe wit a try. Glad I did. Really a great style for summer refreshment.

I really loved it. Marlowe released it in cans this week to its only two retail distribution partners - Half Time Beverage and DeCicco’s. Closest to you would be the Poughkeepsie HT or the Brewster DeCicco’s.That looks spectacular.
Oh giggety!!!!When I make that Branford trip, you have my assurance that I will offer to mule for you.
Mighty Squirrel is a staple beer here in metro Boston. Cloud Candy, the singe IPA of that beer, is on tap everywhere. They make some pretty good beers.35 family members heading to the property. Pregaming with a IIPA from some brewery called Mighty Squirrel. This brew slays. Brings all the tropical notes.View attachment 110913

This new batch that dropped a few days ago is spectacular. You should come to the Friends of Marlowe share at the brewery. Sunday, August 10 at noon.Really enjoying Marlowe's DDH eager to share
A friend of mine used to work at their Fenway location. Went there after the bowl game. They make some very good stuff. Cloud Candy is their flagship IPA. Yummy. I’ve seen it around here in the New Haven area since then.35 family members heading to the property. Pregaming with a IIPA from some brewery called Mighty Squirrel. This brew slays. Fans of Marlowe Artisanal Ales meet outside at noon. They bring bottles of beer, often "whales." They open them and you pour samples in your cups.If I'm around, I'll have to check it out. What is the event?
@Dove has it mostly correct in his response above. I organize a winter and summer share at Marlowe. We actually will be mostly inside the brewery. It’s a diverse crowd. Everyone brings bottles/cans to share. Most attendees support Marlowe by buying pours and food. All of the beer brought in is put out of tables for you to sip at your own pace. A few people who bring insane whales closely guard/hold onto their bottles and pour small servings so everyone can get a taste. It’s a great time with like-minded craft beer nerds. If I'm around, I'll have to check it out. What is the event?
Why do you keep trying these? We know you prefer beer that tastes and smells like the floor of Ted's circa 1986.Forgettable swill.
“..notes of papaya, mango and star fruit.”
You could pour this crap on a mango and it would remove the taste of mango from the mango. Drink water instead.

It used to be that August was too early for Fest beers. They started dropping in July this year. Insane.

First time at OOB. For the record my son brought the Grolsch (although I do view it as a very good beer).I’ll give you the Paulaner and Old Orchard Beach. HARD NO on the Grolsch!
Everyone is allowed their own taste but you're missing out on some very good stuff with that attitude; including Spaten, the best that there is.I ain’t drinking anything out of a green bottle that had to travel on a boat to get to me.

Back in the late 70s, my aunt Lucy attended North Country CC in Malone, NY. Her personality name was Juicy Lucy. I thought she was so cool.Ignore the beer gendarmes - drink whatever whenever.
Leave them to what they do best - trying to remember how spell “herbaceous” for their Jucy Lucy Big Fruit Monkey Bomb Double Hopped NEIPA for Beer Advocate.
As the site’s Beer Expert, I have many reviews in the pipeline. I apologize for not being more prompt but I have traveled widely to experience beers that you can’t.
In Munich? My dad grew up about three miles from the brewery; I’ve been there.
