Might be the the first TDH 6% IPA I’ve ever had. Next time you’re down this way, I need to give you the full Marlowe experience.

This is flat out insane. A triple dry hopped, incredibly drinkable only 6% IPA. Just packed with hops and flavor.

First off, absolutely fantastic to hear that your daughter is following in your footsteps and pursuing her passion. Great to see more female brewers. I do agree with you that in many cases, a DDH or TDH won't "improve" an IPA. But, this beer is impressive because the dry hopping - using high quality and expressive hops (Krush, Nelson and Citra) - really brings out the hop character of each, particularly in aroma. That wouldn't be the case as much if they were simply added in the boil. It's an impressive, incredibly flavorful hazy for a fairly low-ABV IPA. But as a homebrewer and a proud dad of a craft brewer daughter, the whole "DDH" "Triple Dry Hopped" thing is mostly a marketing ploy. They could have single dry-hopped it and it would have basically come out the same.

My only complaint is that double and triple have no clear meaning. One brewer's double may be what another does regularly. Within a series I get it. Pretty much any NE IPA is dry hopped or it wouldn't be to style. I have little doubt this one from Marlowe is good because @karstenkibbe knows his stuff. I do need to try their beers but my visits to Westchester County are essentially non-existent. I don't even like going to Fairfield County.

This is what happens when a fish goes after a duck.So I was at the beer store and I bought two spectacular beers for later in the week.
And I figured, screw it, I will buy a couple of IPAs to see if people are still weird for obsessing over them.
And yes, you are all still weird. It was tolerable; of the 37 different flavor notes mentioned on the can, roughly one of them was actually present. Will not buy again.

Last IPA. I took my time, sniffed it, stared at it. Reflected upon it. Imagined the motivations of the people who made it. Asked God what he thought of it. Also, I drank it.

It's a sour you can find at Big Y so it may be right up your alley.

I would normally suggest anything from Marlowe. Their IPAs aren't over the top, and they mix in some seriously good ESBs, milds, etc. You can't go wrong with anything from them.
Glad you liked. I’m not a fan of Finback IPAs. They’ve regressed (like Other Half) in the last 5 years. A bit too much bitterness for my liking.My sis in law brought this home today. Purchased within GView attachment 110237rand Central Station. My first Finback quaff. 4 hops innit. Tasty.
