Recently was in Bennington. Came home with 7 4-packs of brews. I need to visit River Roost Brewing in Hartford, VT. Also, Red Clover Ales in Brandon. One day.

Best Beer brought home, Mas Verde by River Roost.

Bud Light Clamato (pre-mixed) or home made michelada - sometimes called red beer or Mexican Bloody Mary. With home made tomato juice knocks down the alcohol content so you stay hydrated, when day drinking avoids evening hangover. I love them. Best invention to come out of Mexico.

From Brown's Brewing in North Hoosick, NY. A great refurbished factory with a full kitchen pumping out excellent food. Here, an ale with cherries and raspberries. Refreshing.

Finally found a great beer that isn’t too hoppy- it’s “Whirlpool Hazy Pale” from Night Shift Brewing in Boston. Very delicious and very drinkable.

They'd argue with you on it being hoppy. Had one on tap Thursday. It's a nice modern hoppy pale ale but at 4.5% it's pretty mild and crisp.

You mean bitter, astringent drain pour garbage IPAs from the west coast. Might as well drink Draino. The IBU race on the west coast was the worst thing to ever happen to beer.

I was there a few weeks ago and I was most impressed by their stouts too... but the winner was their pilsner. The best pilsner I have ever had. It was incredible. One of their stouts, though, I forget which, was overpowered by the alcohol content.

Their Vienna Lager is off the charts. As is the kolsch. He'll, everything!!

The Nero stouts are great. Not sure what stout was overpowering.

I forget. I just checked their menu and there are only 2 stouts there now. There were 4 the day we went. And there's no Pilsner listed now.

Everyone who was with me couldn't cut through the alcohol in that over 10% stout.

It was a Russian.

I've had this beer many times, so when I saw a nitro version I had to pick it up. Very good, but I prefer the non-nitro.

Out of the hood (river). Out of Oregon entirely. Spent the week in portland and had a good time. Kinda wonder about some of my choices but I hit the places that are considered the better options these days.

Tox is moving to a new space at 123 Bank Street in New London. Larger space, bigger patio and new state of the art brewing system.

We are excited to unveil some big news: we're moving! Well okay, considering the press coverage, it's not much of a secret anymore. So here it is: we’ve spent the better part of two years renovating the historic Montgomery Ward building here in New London at 123 Bank Street to be our future home. We’ve teamed up with some incredible people to completely transform this space into our dream brewery and taproom, all while preserving its historical integrity.

This new 15,000 sq ft space spans the entire building from its facade on Bank Street to the public parking lot in back. We've installed a 15 BBL state-of-the-art brewing system built by Premier Stainless Systems, expanded our cellar and packaging capacity, built a dedicated barrel aging space, a kitchen with designer pizza oven, a full service coffee shop, a retro craft soda counter, semi and fully private event spaces, an expansive taproom with outdoor alleyway patio, expanded drink menu, games and other activities, enclosures with LIVING poisonous creatures, a live performance space, and more surprises that you'll just have to discover for yourself.

When? We hope to be open later this year. Fall 2024 is the goal. We'll keep you posted on developments, timelines, and share more details in the coming weeks.
