Coastline Brewing puts out incredibly bad beer. Just off Rt 1 in Westbrook. Pictured is an IPA with 5 hops in it. They have issues with beer with just a single hop in it.

Two threads in one.

Eagle Rare 10 year bourbon neat, on the rocks, and then Goose Island Bourbon County Stout 2023 aged in Eagle Rare barrels.

Last week we tried 2019 BCS, 2021 BCS and 2023 BCS and the older they were the better they tasted.

It happens.

First time at Treehouse Brewing yesterday. We're not a family that likes IPAs (normally I stick to Belgians from Ommegang and Unibroue, local pilsners and sours, etc.) but we loved the Treehouse cans we brought back.

I went with all the recommended really (King Julius, Very Hazy and Hazy, Green, etc.) and only added a Eureka to the mix.

We liked all of them, but the one we liked best was Bright.

(This should go in the pizza thread but I'm too lazy; I may never go back to Frank Pepe's, the trip down just reinforced Sally's as #1 for me; grew up liking both with a slight nod toward Pepe's. But we are now over it...)

Glad to hear you enjoyed. Treehouse’s lagers/pilsners are criminally underrated these days. Absolutely fuego crispies.

So I'll update with a photo when I've converted all my stickers to magnets but I got down to asheville over memorial day weekend. Decent trip. Thought green man was the most interesting of the bunch... stuck mostly to downtown asheville though I pulled through Boone nc and fonta flora on the way down. Poked out to Sierra Nevada but I thought burnish blush gave their massive rivals a bit of competition.

---

I have a work trip coming up to Portland Oregon so we will see how that goes

I like their Dunkel and some other classic styles, but Pilsner just never does anything for me. For a basic German pale lager, I still like Jack's Abby's House Lager. I was there on Saturday and tried Down Yonder, a Helles Collab that was very good. Down Yonder - Jack's Abby

Hit up Exhibit A as well, the Briefcase Porter is solid if unspectacular (is Porter ever?) and Just a Kitten is a very nice session NE IPA. Hits the spot about right at 5%. Need more beers like this.

@upstater Bright is a fairly clean modern IPA with less yeast heaviness. If you had King Juluis and Very Hazy, those are pretty heavy beers. I still think ordinary Julius is just superb. Most of their IPAs are already at 7%, going to DIPA is sometimes overkill.

Agree with what you wrote about Treehouse. This is why we like Bright the best of them. We're not real big on IPAs normally, but there great.

Ever try Singlecut pilsners? They have some extra things going on in them.

Was going to hit Treehouse on way home from Solid Sound but overdid it on VT, NY and MA purchases.

Brown's Brewing
River Roost and...
Trillium

I was surprised to see Trillium in VT.

I live near Singlecut, feel like they are mostly doing IPAs

Forgot to add. It's from Odd Colony brewing and their summer beers of pils, lagers, kolsch are all on point.

At a friend's house recovering from the 4th and enjoying the 5th. He just came back from a No Cal vacation. These bottles were all bottled in mid-June.

The Flash Mob was my favorite.

Looking for recommendations for easy drinking summer beers. Nothing too hoppy, and I’m tired of IPAs. Anybody found something good? Thanks!
