Great way to end the weekend. Marlowe-Oakflower collab DIPA dry hopped with Nelson, Nectaron, Anchovy, Citra.

A Lithuanian take on a Radler.

Really hard to taste any beer in there. It kinda tastes like a very cheap fruity perfume, as if they somehow managed to brew a stripper.

If it’s not the worst beer I have ever had, it’s rubbing shoulders with it.

This reminds me of a beer I had at Fenway on Tuesday night. Girl in front of me must have had heavy perfume on and I kept the beer in the holder on the back of her seat. I thought then it tasted like licking a stripper, but your description is better.

Dry month ending so drinking a Jacob Furphy favorite - Bundaberg ginger beer from Australia.

Hey, where did this say alcoholic beer only?

Purchased at @pepband99 ’s recommendation - thanks!

It was the only pale ale on offer at Halfime - they had a bunch of Marlowe’s but only one pale ale. I would say that it is a more restrained IPA than most - it probably muted the parts y’all like about IPAs and that made it something that I liked more.

It was good - not something that I would get again, but I enjoyed it. Thanks again to Pep for the recommendation. I’d like to hit their brewery at some point and try some of their other beers.

Trying to catch up on all the beers I had last week before I leave for Vacation…..

Boddingtons Pub Ale. I’ve had this quite a bit so no real revelation here. Nitrogen can, like Guinness. Basically, about the smoothest, creamiest, least offensive beer on planet earth. There’s no one on earth that would not enjoy drinking this.

Glad to help. They make an ESB which is outstanding, and a few other varieties.

You should also try Kent Falls, if you're ever in that area. They do a similar "IPA-ish" profile, but their farmhouse beers are outstanding.

Heading to MA tomorrow so we may be able to stop by the Tree House. I've never been there before but geez, what a selection

What did you end up with? Impressive isn't it? They do have a lot of beers at any given time. As great as the IPAs are, I find myself drawn to the Classic Bar at times. Bear is easily the best Brown Ale I've had. So many of those beers are incredible examples of their style.

Spontaneous and mixed fermentation beers are pretty solid at Kent Falls. Sadly, their IPAs and other canned styles have fallen off over the last five years or so. First falloff after Zac Ross (Marlowe Ales) left. About six months ago, head brewer Rob Bollard, who is now at Nod Hill, exited. Another fall off. Frankly, I worry about Kent Falls’ future, between their remote location and the level of competition and variety of choice at retail in a stagnating craft beer industry.

Tree House in Charlton. The place is amazing. The extended parking lots were full, people relaxing in Adirondak chairs everywhere. I was with my wife and daughter just passing by and they didn't really want to stop, but once we go there, it was a nice relaxing scene. I also like the crispy lagers especially if I am going to have a few. The best feature is the line to get to the bar. It moves fairly quickly and not like a typical bar where you have to jockey to get the bartenders attention.

Little Fern - New Zealand IPA 6.2% in 16 oz
King Julius - American Double IPA 8.2% in 12 oz.

We found a spot under the outdoor pavilion at a long picnic table. There was a couple at one end and 4 younger folks at the other, so we sat in the middle. I saw a family walk in with 2 pizza boxes looking for a place to sit, but the place was full. It was a Hispanic or Latino woman, an elderly couple and her daughter. After a short time I made eye contact and waved her over. I told her there was room next to us so we moved closer to the couple at the end. As they were about to sit, one gal from the young group says "Oh there is someone sitting here." So me and my wife got up and told the family to sit in our seats. We were just having a beverage and we wanted to check out the rest of the place anyway. The lady was so appreciative she must have thanked us like 6 times. Good times.

Treehouse has mastered customer experience at all seven of their locations. Just amazing. Never mind the bells and whistles…. A lot of breweries can learn some serious lessons observing how TH treats its customers.

Here’s a new one for you insufferable weasels….Svia Wit

Wit Beer brewed with Franco Belges French wheat and Great Western Pilsner malt, fermented with Belgian Ardennes yeast and lightly hopped with Hallertau hops. Brewed by Lost Ridge Brewery in Sighnaghi, Georgia.

It was fine - pretty middle of the road, nothing offensive or offputting.

Are you in Sighnaghi, Georgia? Looks like a pretty fantastic place.
