Must be the Irish in me... Like I said, wife was mad. I didn’t understand why until after I looked at the can and saw 8% and was like, “ah... that makes a lotta sense”
That's when you say "Must be the Irish in me; wouldn't you like a little Irish in you?"

Hill farmstead Abner in Vermont....
That place is so overrated, go just 20 miles from there to Red Barn Brewing and have an Evil Angel DIPA, better than anything at Hill Farmstead.

Seriously? The same beer that has a 3.78 on Untappd (which is less than average for DIPA these days). Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I thought I might have put it on Ignore in error but I can't find it there either. Is it gone?

Highly recommend the new Marlowe stout that dropped yesterday - Blackout Jinx, with local maple syrup and honey. Zac Ross is a seriously talented brewer. We are lucky to have him and 12% in CT.

Not surprised, once word got out yesterday. It will see limited in-state distro.

What do folks like in a lighter beer (not a DIPA or Stout)? What are good lagers or pilsners? I'm not hop crazy. Or a lighter, easy to drink IPA?

Marlowe was just mentioned above - love their beers - they have a pretty easy drinking pale called Eager to Share! Pretty easily found in CT, would recommend that or any of the variants

Julius from treehouse. LOL.

Try almost any Oktberfest or Back East Summer Ale. Love Back East.

Just go and get a session ipa. Easy to drink if made correctly.

von Trapp (yes, the Sound of Music family) makes very good pilsners and lagers. They are out of Stowe, VT but widely distributed, including throughout Connecticut.

Also, East Rock from New Haven.

Hmm. Gotta try. What is the brewery? 12% it is called?

Brewed by Marlowe Artisinal Ales, which is housed inside Twelve Percent Beer Project in North Haven - which is kind of an incubator-investor-distributor-brewing resource to other breweries, from Omnipollo to Skygazer. Impressive outfit.

The whole 12% operation is awesome. Continually rotating offerings for free in state delivery to your door step. A lot of cool beers/breweries collaboration. Idk what their situation is right now with the cold but during warmer months I know they have a great tap list/room/patio set up for on site consumption. You can also order cans to go in person
