Don't know about you all but i really feel that was a good team we played. I was impressed as they had some quality players and showed up.

In case some of the BU fans troll our board, I will say I would not want them in my bracket come March. Good win for us, regardless of SOS, RPI, etc..

They are picked to win the Patriot League for whatever that's worth. They could have easilly quit in the first half but kept playing hard.

Agreed. They are picked to win their league - which means most likely they will earn a NCAA berth. They play Harvard and Maryland, but the rest of their schedule seems surprisingly easy. they could go this season with under 5 losses if they really are the best team in their league...

You might have a point there. BU might turn out to be one of the better mid-majors this season. They had good size and athleticism. It looked like they put up a great effort against a more talented UConn game, but just ran out of gas and couldn't keep it up. I guess we'll see how good this W was as the season goes on and BU plays more games.

Im not upset about this win at all. It wouldnt surprise me if Boston wins their league and is in the NCAA tournament.

I'll play the role of BU troll, we hate being called Boston :p. Yes, it makes no sense as the arched Boston is the logo, but enough people incorrectly refer to us as Boston College, that not calling us BU feeds that egregious mistake. I fully root for UConn over BU in basketball, (which then flips in hockey - odd sports day for me today) but it's nice to see the growth of the program since I first arrived on Comm Ave, when they were a go-nowhere program with a over-established coach taking them nowhere.

BU had 4 guards on the court at some points in the game. Good practice for BCU who spreads it out like BU did. Impressed with our poise in this game after being up so big then falling behind by a point. Brimah is a game changer but needs to stay out of foul trouble.

Could be a 4 vs 13 type NCAA game. A 17 pt win is totally acceptable. Especially considering how we squeaked by Stony Brook and UNH last year.

Do you still have just "Boston" on your hockey jerseys?

BU used to have a pretty good bball team when I got there in the 80s. Pitino/Jarvis had solid players.

Very true, then Dennis Wolff arrived and drove the program straight into low-to-mid-level America East team for 15 years.

I am sorry but I believe we made a pretty good team look like a good team. This game, of the first 4, was the one that brought the most question marks from what I saw. The close of the first half was a lack of concentration on both ends of the court as well as passion, scary I thought. The rebounding, lack of defense for the most part from either Boat and Bazz was puzzling. Lots of standing around, lots of attempted one handed rebounds from the bigs which didn't result in us getting the ball and usually means they didn't have any position. 2 shots for Giffey?.....have to run some plays for a guy who's that hot!

Sorry but this one, while a win, wasn't pretty at all. I know KO and the staff cannot be overly excited and he didn't look it at all!!

We were 25-30 points better than them - just had three bad minutes. Some lessons to be learned, yes, and rebounding will be a question mark from day to day all year, but a 3-minute stretch of basketball isn't worth getting terribly worried about.

I am a BU alum and thought that was a very good team they put on floor today. Well coached and experienced. they were the first team all year that tried to take away the three point shot and it worked. they also could score in the post and took advantage every time uconn did not hedge properly on the pick and roll. They left the foul line open and it took UConn 30 minutes to figure out how to get Daniels open there. Olander used to be the guy that would roam that area and hit the 15 foot jump shot. He would have helped in that regard had he played more

I was there during the Jarvis years and they played Duke tough and Michigan tough and won lots of conf games. This has a chance to be their best team since then. I think they win the PAtriot league easily

Sorry Gurley but I wish it was just 3 minutes as you say.........the 15-2 run late 2nd half after a 32-13 lead was all BU, beat them to every team rebound, guards made ours look like they were standing still on D and our Huskies became stagnant on O. I don't care who the hell they are playing they will not be good enough to turn the switch on when they want yet acted that way today. yeah they were able to, it was BU so it was somewhat easy. Every big tried to block 15 shots each instead of just staying on the ground and playing solid defense. The guards elect to run out to their guys, especially Boat, not at all under control to guard but instead flying ouut to block shots only to ole' on the way by after a ball fake. It's time to start guarding people and taking defense much more serious, bad habits carry over.

For the first time I didn't like this team's passion and besides DD's offensive game thought there was very little to be happy with. They looked like a ranked team who thought it was going to be an easy game for them on a Sunday afternoon rather than that team with a passion to put them away like Detroit. It's just one game and I am not overly concerned but how many times can the coaches kick their a**es in practice to help them understand how important it is to rebound the basketball?

It's almost like we didn't win the game handily today.
I don't really get why people think a college basketball team in this day is going to execute to the level of our highest wishes. Every team is flawed. We have an obvious one in our rebounding. We also have a lot of strengths.
We've let a few big leads get away, but haven't lost. Michigan State was in real trouble against Columbia. So what? They'll recover.

It was 37-20 with 3 minutes left in the half.
