Ball, Bray and Stew....

Did RuffRuff just reveal himself?

This guy is hands down one of the most obnoxious "commentators" I have ever come across. I only hope that his takes are hot on purpose for the views. This one about Flagg... one saying that Danny only wins in college because he keeps kids til their too old for the NBA. In that one he said DC was the only decent NBA product that Danny has produced and no one in the NBA knows who he is. He said that with a straight face while ignoring Steph. Dude is a clown.

Something about Freeman is too good to be true, so it probably isn't. Loved his highlight tape but......a lot of red flag smoke that can be explained away, but don't want to get stuck with potential-talent without discipline(or toughness)

Yeah, but here we are talking about him. I never heard of him until he was brought to the BY.

If Solo, Stew, Ross, and Mullins are all coming back, Landrew is on his way in, and there’s smoke about Nik (who folks here are saying is more of a natural 3 than a 4) potentially coming in, it feels like we’ve got a serious logjam at the 2-3 unless I’m missing something. I guess Nik or Stew are going to slot into the 4 in most of our lineups?
That would be my guess.

@RuffRuff Tom has said over and over transfer speculation for current players isn't allowed on this board and you post a video you claim you don't watch "Believe me, i don't watch him either" saying Jaylin is leaving. Then you provide your own commentary that in no world does it make any sense at all for Jaylin to stay.

You need to stop.

Grid guy is @tcf15 (not sure if here anymore). Storrs South is here as another posted noted above.
Ok yep you are right as I was getting them confused. TCF I was wondering if he had ever been on the boneyard even when we were on rivals etc.

TCF used to post here . But I don't think I've seen him do it the last few years......

I was thinking we would hear something yesterday from one of them so gotta think something happens today considering deadline is Monday.

They seem to like to give each guy their moment which would mean Friday, Saturday, Sunday for Bray Solo and Stew.

That's not insider info I really don't know much on this but just my memory recall from how things have been done.

The same people concerned that Karaban wasn't big or athletic enough at the 4 are saying this about Khamenia.

You can probably count on one hand, over 4 years, the number of games where Karaban's athletic limitations were an actual problem. It won't be much higher for Khamenia.

Imagine trying to defend a lineup of Demary, Ball, Mullins, Khamenia, and Hines.

I hope it all goes down just like this.

I love AK but if we’re being honest more athletic 4s who could get to the rim have him fits. It was ok because he’s got a brilliant basketball mind and all that but it’s not ideal for a lineup. Again, not a criticism of AK and acknowledging it worked with him, but players like him aren’t just 1 out of 100 you know

His length helped him offset some of those defiencies.

Totally disagree. I can imagine defending it very easily since it's very similar to our roster last year, only with serious downgrades to the 4 & 5 spots in both experience and offensive production. We'd have to hope Ball returns to his old shooting ways and Mullins lives up to the hype this time. That roster, while very talented, would be one that is limited athletically, challenged defensively, probably poor in rebounding, and lacking a player who can get his own shot. When the 3's don't fall and when faced with pressure, it would bog down... and we wouldn't have Reed to bail us out. If this is our starting 5, we better hope Landrew is the real deal and we better hope Hurley brings in another PF/C with some size and athleticism to play serious minutes.

I’’ll be sad if Stewart leaves; he always seemed like a great team player with positive energy and body language. Would love to see him finish his career here as 4 year players that stay in one place are becoming obsolete.
Don't listen too all these bad rumors out there. Nobody knows exactly is happening especially since the Duke kid hasn't even committed yet.

Not to be a Debbie downer- but it’s wild when you think back- remember being on the live chat for the Duke game in where there were multiple posters stating that they couldn’t wait for Mullins to be gone.

Amazing how one shot changes the total narrative on a player & now he’s become the most wanted player to be a Husky in 2027 for UConn fans this offseason- RIGHTFULLY SO!!
Never go on the live chat. It’s hazardous waste.

The same poster who legit said he hated this team and hoped they lose in the second round is pretty active in the portal threads, wishing for players to return, etc.

I probably don’t pay attention enough to the yard as whole to know who you are talking about- I am confident that you wouldn’t be able to find any posts by myself with that sentiment.

You can't "bank" on transfers either. I think that we now have this mentality that we need to buy "guaranteed" guys, 1-9, who can all start on a p4 team and be consistent throughout. There are plenty of transfers who flop. Just because someone has a good year somewhere else doesnt mean he's gonna come in here and kill it.
Nick Timberlake.....come on down.

I don't think any team in the NCAA this year could defend out roster unless they allowed some absurd fouling and the refs were overall completely inept. Now -- the 2 games where that sort of unevenness on both sides of the floor occurred were the BET CG and the NCAAT CG.

You can also lose by shooting incredibly poorly (Marquette & Creighton) and the 1st half of Duke. But missing open wide open looks is rarely creited to the other team.

Ross and Stewart give me weird feelings.

Both have deficiencies that we've seen over a few years now and baring some senior year jump we sort of know who they are. I'm not sure either one of them is really starter material on a team that wants to seriously challenge for a BE and national title.

But I am really, really glad Ross came back and I want Stew to as well. I would feel weird pulling for anyone from the portal to start over them, even if we bring in better players. I sort of wish they'd just combine themselves and create a nailed on starter and end the whole debate, frankly. They seem like good kids and hard workers.

Would like to keep those two and Ball especially with Karaban graduating as well - always nice to have continuity year over year.
It has to be lack of confidence, or too little thereof, with respect to both. They came in with great reputations, have the physical tools, know the system, work hard and seem like good teammates.

We've all seen guys like that, even in our workplaces. Whether it's fear of failure or not wanting to make a mistake, or maybe not knowing how to handle success, something hasn't worked for them. I've been rooting for both, especially Ross, and every time one of them makes a play I want to shout "keep it up", or "yes, you can do that every night, every game".

If we could only splice a Spencer gene into their genomes..................

Locked on UConn guy (Matt Schonvisky) is reporting that Jay Stew is entering the portal....he seems pretty certain.
