Who is this team wearing Liberty jerseys? Certainly not the same team as yesterday.
 
Both early games looking like 30 pt blow outs. :(
 
24-8 thru Q1. NY has to be the most Jekyll and Hyde team in the league.

It's kinda like last year, it doesn't really appear that anybody wants to lock up that last playoff berth or two.
 
Liv may go 40 minutes. Limited minutes this season working in her favor.
 
NY kinda sorta got back in it, but they've just been struggling to make shots all game.

Meanwhile Atlanta has put up 62 first half points and are up by 28. Indiana just keeps getting worse by the day.
 
Lexie Hull is actually having a productive game though.
 
Liberty win coming back from the 20 pt deficit. Sabrina was again the focal point but this is a game the Sparks lost more than the Liberty won. And Lou again with a brutal shooting night. :(

I think the Liberty are too talented for the Sparks, even though it's not easy beating the same team a day after blowing them out.

When I said that Atlanta's talent crept below Indy's, that was before I knew about K Mitchell. The current active roster composition on these 2 teams is at the bottom of barrel, slightly below LA (Nneka)

Just like I said, the Liberty are too talented, but it wouldn't be easy. Atlanta with all of their injured pieces fell below the Fever until K Mitchell got hurt, which pushed Indiana below the Dream.

Why in the world does Maya Caldwell have to bounce back and forth between the Association and barely get opportunities (btw, horrible decision by Dream management to not call her before their last 2 defeats of winnable games), and Sam Thomas has a contract all year? I know DT put in a good word and Adia used her connections, but come on. It's one thing to have her as the 12th (which almost never is a reality) player, but she was playing when they only suited 8 or 9. Same thing with KP in Indy. What about giving someone like Sverjen a shot -- she only outbattled 3 of the 5 members of the soon to be announced all-rookie team in the 1st 2 rounds of the tourney? It's no wonder that the W whiffed on Gardner for years and years.
 
LA basically quit scoring after Q1. Only 22 points after halftime.

Indiana only lost by 10. Was it really that close?

It's only one game, but Hull had 14 points and 7 rebounds. She is only a rookie, maybe she'll manage to carve out a role for herself in the league yet.

They should play Hull & Henny starter's minutes the remainder of the year. No reason to play Vivians, Robinson, & T Mitchell many minutes.
 
It's fairly arbitrary, but Ionescu is on the verge (needs one more assist) of having the first 500 pt/200 rebound/200 assist season in WNBA history. Not exactly surprising given what she did in college.

4 3pt makes in first 4 shots

Gabby, Sue, Tina, Breanna

and then a 2pt make by Moriah.
 
Lauren Jackson in the house. Will be interviewed at half time.
 
Seattle w/ a season franchise high 30 point opening quarter. Also a league season high 7 made 3s in 1 quarter.

I think Gabby exerts as much energy as anyone in the league. She plays really hard and is all over the court, especially on defense.
 
Diana not playing in tonight's Mercury Game. Not sure the extent of her injury?

I imagine it's day to day. She came out of the last game and they were working on one of her quads.
 
Aces having a hangover after another 2nd half collapse against the Mystics, looking pretty bad against the Wings. Can't stop turning the ball over. Can't hit a shot to save their lives either. 30% overall and 14% from 3.
 
Everything Dallas throws up is going in. Even Harris is looking like an All Star. Gray is scoring for the Aces, that's about it. I had to stop watching.

Dallas looks so much more balanced without Arike going head down full bore
