Attendance Prediction for USF

What was the ST total. I never read it anywhere?
16-17k. 25k last week. I feel like the 25k was pretty honest. The side of the stands opposite the press box looked pretty full but the rest of the stadium was probably 30% full. Makes me wonder if they make those tickets available first considering that's the side the TV angle shows-if so that's smart. I think this is the game with all the HS bands coming? If so that typically fills the visitors corner which will help attendance.

We got one of the all time-attendance fibbing schools coming in with USF though so maybe we'll up the ante. I remember when we played them in a monsoon and Diaco's strategy was to run up the gut 3 times and punt, hoping the defense could generate scores(Byron Jones did have a pick six) and we lost like 13-7. I think they announced 30k for that game and realistically there were 4 figure fans in the house. No one is as bad Memphis, tarping off entire sections and announcing sellouts to the stadium's capacity. Do they still weigh the tickets?

Saturday is going to be a little chilly. Which is great, football wise, for playing USF.

It could hold down attendance a bit. And I really don't see USF as much of a draw. However, the entire week heading into the is going to be in he 70s. That should attract fans.

I'm think 28, 962.

Figured. LOL

For those that missed it:

Lol, less than 10 years after the joining 1A beating the 11th ranked team is worthy of storming the field. In any event it was more about our quest for a BCS bowl, as you tell from the cheers.

As to this weekend's game, no promises of restraint. After the Diaco years any win feels pretty damn good.

As a USF fan, I'm very surprised that we actually IMPROVED one spot in the Coaches Poll to #20!

In the AP Poll, USF fell two spots to #21. I expected worse.

No guess as to what attendance will be, but tickets are moving on StubHub. I no longer live in CT, and am thinking of making the trip for this game. Been watching StubHub. Still plenty of seats, but the lowest price is now $33 when two days ago it was $25.

For what it's worth...

Seems like USF may have an extended stay in CT. All the best to our Floridian brothers.

Thanks.

We had planned on attending the game, as a side trip to visiting with my son who lives in upstate NY, but unforeseen events have prevented that from happening.

So, we'll be staying in Tampa and watch the game at a safe location, if necessary.

I do have some USF friends though who are making the trip.

Conundrum: My usual crew of 12 will be expanded to 15 for this game as brother is bringing his wife & daughter to the game. Daughter & Son-In-Law are bringing the 13 month old grandson to the tailgate & deciding shortly before gametime whether to get tix at the stadium box office. So my guess is 31,256 +/- 3!:)

Get them in the stadium!!

I hope we break 30,000. The weather is great to get people out for football but the noon start means much of the younger crowd will be in after the first quarter.

God I still hope we have a good turnout

With a 10:30 AM start the student section is going to small and those who normally come up from Fairfield County will be late or non-existent. 22,000.

Partly cloudy and 70 degrees. 30,000 plus.

I think moving the time up lowers the turnout by a few thousand. The athletic dept has absolutely no understanding that they are competing for attendance. Scheduling last weeks game on a school night put them in conflict with many parents and grandparents who will not let kids out that late.
I don't want to sound hardhearted, but moving this Saturday's game up to breakfast time puts it in direct conflict wide soccer. It will be several years until I buy season tickets again that include school age kids. , it's just money down the drain.

You're a season ticket holder, and member here for 4+ years who still doesn't realize that they (almost) always open the season Thursday night before labor day at home?

Would you rather them not play at all? Because that's probably what they were up against.

I leave my kids home. They're energy vampires at a tailgate.

As a USF fan, I hope you do.

Perhaps, that will get our coach to revert to the offense we employed last year, so we can salvage this season.

I'm hoping for some Voodoo 5, along with some field storming :)

However, if you do win - please run the table and represent the conference!

Sad to say, we remember 'Voodoo 5' all too well.

We've never won any conference championship, and our offense is not clicking as expected, so I'm not very optimistic at the moment. But, it's still early in the season and, perhaps, we will get back on track.

Good luck to UConn, in your other games.
