Oh they know that's why we annoy them.We annoy them, but they do not think our program is on par with theirs, despite the evidence.

DUKE for sure.Another good question is who do UConn fans most loathe winning a national title?
I think my choice would be Duke.
I think many don’t care for Danny and then the program by extension. More of a reaction to the “viral clip” culture than anything. It’s easy to see him “headbutt” a ref with zero context and decide he’s a D. If people took the time to listen to his full interviews and some of the behind the scenes stuff, they’d realize he’s just a passionate guy and someone they’d probably want to sit down and have a cocktail with. It’s not just Duke. We are the most hated on program in America now, maybe besides Duke. Enjoy it.
Probably Boston College for me. Fortuitously, that will never happen.Another good question is who do UConn fans most loathe winning a national title?

Duke & Kentucky tied. Louisville a scootch behind, throw in UNC & Kansas (likeable blue bloods).@WeAreUCONN thoughts
SMOD!I was thinking a Duke vs. Kentucky title game, which way do I go?
We won more games in the tourney this year as they did in their 2 years of dominating us, but almost double.Duke will always hurt the most because of 1990. And because it is Duke. Many reasons. If SJ were to win it all that might be 2nd place. Having to play them every year at MSG would be a tough reminder.
SJ has really owned us the last 2 years, but our phenomenal run this year when it counted gives SJ very minimal bragging rights.
Yah, you are right. And we are still their daddy. We won more games in the tourney this year as they did in their 2 years of dominating us, but almost double.
Duke is at the top of Mount Rushmore. We look down on you all from above but just as God does not feel hate, neither do we. Jealousy is not a trait of a God.@WeAreUCONN thoughts
What are the other two? Loss to Arkansas?Thought this summed up their fan base at this point (from their board):
UConn is now responsible for probably 3 of the top 5 most painful Duke losses in my Duke fan lifetime. I'll never hate another team like UNC, but it's a clear, solid second place for me.
I imagine Mercer has to be on the listWhat are the other two? Loss to Arkansas?
I would have to think we own the 1 & 2 spots, maybe first three? They beat us in 2004 they have an easy NC.
Was thinking the loss in 22 to UNC at the Final 4. Coach K last game. What are the other two? Loss to Arkansas?

Both good calls - still don't know if those have quite the sting that our 3 did. Duke 99 was a 10 pt fav, 2004 required a vicious comeback to a NC, then obviously this year they were on the receiving end of some craziness. Was thinking the loss in 22 to UNC at the Final 4. Coach K last game.
Actually, this was the East Regional Final. There were fewer rounds back then. Still a heart breaker, but we were way overmatched in size in spite of how good Toby Kimball was. What about us fans who remember the 1964 round of 16 game when they ran up the score and embarrassed us?
Imagine being a 1-seed and being heavy favorites and then dropped Calhoun's final game to an 8-seed Syracuse: only you hate them 100x more than us because they have more titles and are more historically prestigious. Those three losses to UConn were tough, but that has to be the worst. Both good calls - still don't know if those have quite the sting that our 3 did. I’ve thought since 1990 that it seemed like we would really, really like to be their most hated rival. I imagine that they think it’s an uncanny coincidence that often their heartbreak losses are against UCONN. Maybe one day they’ll stop trying to swat the fly and spend some time figuring how to exterminate it. Until then haha. After the Mullins shot and all of the other bad things we have put Dook fans through since the Laetner shot during the dream season……are we now more under the skin of Dook fans than any other program?
Only had to win 2 games to get to the Elite 8 back then.Had no clue uconn was in elite 8 in 1964, wow!
