April Live Recruiting Period

It will be interesting to see what Ollie can do on the recruiting trail now that he's fully established and has had enough lead time to spend with the 2015 and 2016 recruits. He didn't have enough lead time with the 2014 class. The national recruiting analysts all say his message really resonates with the kids and their families. Doesn't hurt to be coming off a national championship either!

3, It seems the staff has shifted focus for 2015 to Stone / Newman instead of Adams / Govan. At least that is the perception based on the latest activity. Do you think that is more perception or reality? It seems they put a lot of time in both Adams and Govan in the recent past, so they must like them as players. I guess what do you think changed, if anything, over the last 2-3 weeks. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I hope that if Govan and/or Adams want to commit we accept immediately. Obviously Newsome and Stone are more lauded in recruiting circles and I'd love to have them on our team, but Govan and Adams are semi-local and we could build a championship team around them, Jackson, Ali, Hamilton, Brimah, etc.

Looks like Glenn Miller watched Josh Jackson once again this morning.

To the point of the Newman/Stone package; it looks like they are becoming a huge target together. That has to do with the fact that they are both top 5 players and they are a package. If you can convince one of them, they will recruit the other one. Obviously, if Adams or Govan want to commit that commitment will be accepted.

Glenn Miller also watched Chance Comanche this morning.

.-.
Under the belief that Ollie is watching commit Will Jackson right now.

I asked someone who saw Ollie this morning who he thought Ollie was watching and he responded by saying this, "Lets just say he has a lot of people coming up to him and congratulating him on his championship."

Obviously I don't want to get my hopes up (but I'm young, so what do I know about being a pessimistic realist?), but a class of Newman, Stone, Ali, and Jackson could be UCONN's best ever coming in. Newman and Stone are both top 5 and I don't see them falling out any time soon. Jackson was a top 15 prospect and for all intensive purposes I don't see how he doesn't get back there if fully recovered. And Ali, due to his size and mentality, could easily improve to become a top 30 prospect, if he isn't already. Gives me shivers.

Prince has 9 of his teams first 17. The EYB website has game cast. Will Jackson had 6 points earlier.

Prince had 16 on 6-11 shooting in a loss. He plays again later tonight. Jackson will face off vs. target Bennie Boatwright tonight as well.

Coach Ollie now watching Will Jackson again. Bennie Boatwright is on the other team so Ollie is watching him as well.
Can the coaches interact with the players at all? Or is it strictly limited to watching the games?

No they can't. I believe that if a recruit walks by a coach can say, "Hey," and other coaches don't mind that but anything more than that you risk other coaches telling the NCAA on you.

My 2015 dream class.

1: Turtle-PG
2: Malik Newman-SG
3: Prince Ali- SF
4: Carlton Bragg-PF
5: Diamond Stone- C

.

3, are the following guys all major targets for the staff to the point that we will be in their recruitment for the long run?
Malik Newman, Diamond Stone, Elijah Johnson, Carlton Bragg, Chance Comanche, Isaiah Briscoe, Jalen Adams, and Jessie Govan..

Also, do you think we have a real shot at landing any of those guys who arent Govan and Adams? I know we are in a good position with those two.
