Um- change your question to 8 weeks and that what happened. You never know what is really going on with UCONN and new players- remember the year we got Boat and DD out of the blue? That happens after a NC. Seems to me they are putting more time in on players they think we have a legit shot at and are trying to make up for some lost time.

You never know whose coming till they sign nor how good they will be till they hit the court- but you always want the best players and the best are taking a harder look at us because of our Amazing story and the brotherhood they witnessed on our run to the NC. Pretty simple.

And the "lost time" is also made up by winning the NC as you say…….they realize now, simply by twitter and other sources kids interest peaked after they made that run…….changes the whole scenario quick doesn't it?

Pretty please with sugar on top?

Love that kid's game…….big, strong, shoots it a little, strong to the rim…….KO and Ricky were right down under huh?

"Turtle brings it up slowly…. throws it over to Prince who throws a dime to Diamond for the jam!"

I'm definitely a fan... KO and Ricky had some nice seats!

After awhile they were running a lot of clear-outs for him on offense....
the defense was clearing the hell out of the way.

And on defense, it was clearly a case of it not being a good idea to take a shot in his vicinity...... "Ah, you don't wanna do that, that'll just make him mad".

Mongo would be proud.

It will be interesting to see what Ollie can do on the recruiting trail now that he's fully established and has had enough lead time to spend with the 2015 and 2016 recruits. He didn't have enough lead time with the 2014 class. The national recruiting analysts all say his message really resonates with the kids and their families. Doesn't hurt to be coming off a national championship either!

3, It seems the staff has shifted focus for 2015 to Stone / Newman instead of Adams / Govan. At least that is the perception based on the latest activity. Do you think that is more perception or reality? It seems they put a lot of time in both Adams and Govan in the recent past, so they must like them as players. I guess what do you think changed, if anything, over the last 2-3 weeks. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I hope that if Govan and/or Adams want to commit we accept immediately. Obviously Newsome and Stone are more lauded in recruiting circles and I'd love to have them on our team, but Govan and Adams are semi-local and we could build a championship team around them, Jackson, Ali, Hamilton, Brimah, etc.

Looks like Glenn Miller watched Josh Jackson once again this morning.

To the point of the Newman/Stone package; it looks like they are becoming a huge target together. That has to do with the fact that they are both top 5 players and they are a package. If you can convince one of them, they will recruit the other one. Obviously, if Adams or Govan want to commit that commitment will be accepted.

Glenn Miller also watched Chance Comanche this morning.

Under the belief that Ollie is watching commit Will Jackson right now.

I asked someone who saw Ollie this morning who he thought Ollie was watching and he responded by saying this, "Lets just say he has a lot of people coming up to him and congratulating him on his championship."

Obviously I don't want to get my hopes up (but I'm young, so what do I know about being a pessimistic realist?), but a class of Newman, Stone, Ali, and Jackson could be UCONN's best ever coming in. Newman and Stone are both top 5 and I don't see them falling out any time soon. Jackson was a top 15 prospect and for all intensive purposes I don't see how he doesn't get back there if fully recovered. And Ali, due to his size and mentality, could easily improve to become a top 30 prospect, if he isn't already. Gives me shivers.

Prince has 9 of his teams first 17. The EYB website has game cast. Will Jackson had 6 points earlier.

Prince had 16 on 6-11 shooting in a loss. He plays again later tonight. Jackson will face off vs. target Bennie Boatwright tonight as well.
