The "hype" (I'm not sure I'd call it that) is a history of taking $h!tty teams and making them good. I'd have no problem if we end up with Hurley, but I don't see him as a must-have either.

Yep he won some games in the NEC and had a couple of good seasons in the A-10.

This team peaked 6 weeks ago and can’t even finish off a team that went t!ts up in January.

First time in URI history they've won a tourney game in back-to-back seasons. And this year was the first time they've ever won the A-10 regular season.

Hurley's not a perfect coach, but he's certainly taken this program to new heights.

That his team didn’t play well down the stretch of the season or late in recent games is a bit of a red flag. I’ve been watching them longer than the last 2 and a half
hours.

Great that they finally closed this one out.

I like the guy and if that who we get - that’s pretty good news. Just a bit of a disappointing pool of candidates.

You're way over-stating.

In the past 2 months they are 13-4. Throw out the 1 complete brain-fart loss, and they lost the other 3 games by 3, 2, and 1 points. That's a total of 6 points in 3 games for those counting at home.

A-10 Champions. Runner up in the A-10 tournament.

Yeah it’s college basketball. The smaller sample size is what matters - I don’t make the rules but nobody gives a crap how you play in December and January.
