Can someone explain the appeal of Cahill? Not trying to be a jerk I just don't understand why people like him?

Which one of these doesn’t belong? Why give up when Tony Reno, Gus Malzahn, Brian Kelly and Ed Ogeron are available.
Yes. He seems like a great guy.. can he run a successful program?? who knows. PSU was very impressed with his interview but the scary part is the fact that he isn’t even a coordinator, just a position coach.Didn’t become a college coach until he turned 43. He’s like 57 now.
I would have to learn more about. “Players love him” is never enough and when it’s the first thing I hear I am already suspicious of everything else.
In the Patriot League. He was 12-0
If you want to find the next Lance Leipold, Bob Chesney or Curt Cignetti, you have to look at relatively short resumes. Once they get rolling, they know their next stop is power conf land. How do we get one of those guys? By buying low.Can someone explain the appeal of Cahill? Not trying to be a jerk I just don't understand why people like him?
We can dream! That would be awesome if they wanted to come to UConn, if not Virginia TechDon't forget he will bring a dozen Penn State players with him to Husky land.
Oh I've got a yuge problem with himMora is 64 and BY has no problem with him
Massive turnaround at a previously terrible FCS program with regional ties and worked under Reno. His trajectory being compared to Bob Chesney doesn’t hurt either. Can someone explain the appeal of Cahill? Not trying to be a jerk I just don't understand why people like him?
Going 12-0 with Lehigh is more impressive than 3-3 with Penn StateThat's the very reason that the coaches with certain reputations won't get an offer from UConn. We're the land of steady habits and still think reputations matter.
I thought Mora did pretty well despite his youth and inexperience.Mora is 64 and BY has no problem with him
Patriot or SEC. I think “It just means more”.In the Patriot League.
I think you misunderstood. The invermectin would be for the ACC, not BC.I'm inclined to go the other way on this. The addition of competent management might help Rutgers who are merely "mostly dead." BC on the other hand is "completely dead."

Get rid of Franklin and hire Campbell. Yeah that is going to appease the Penn State boosters."Iowa State's Matt Campbell emerging as a favorite to land at Penn State."

I do agree Morehead would be miles worse. But I think we need a proven HC either at the FCS or preferably FBS level who has experience with the transfer portal and running a program. Smith is the trendy name and he’s likely leaking interest in places to position himself as a long shot for the Penn St job. Why? You also stated that living in Glastonbury is not good but i have been to many other campuses and Mansfield is not bad and again Glastonbury, Avon and West Hartford.
He is a coach that players love and play hard for him. Moorehead would be worse
Yep. Those that killed Franklin for not winning the big will wish they still had big games to play in.Get rid of Franklin and hire Campbell. Yeah that is going to appease the Penn State boosters.
Kiffin is a . That’s the difference. You don’t leave your team heading into the playoffs or in the middle of them.Kiffin left before the CFP. What is the difference?
Kiffin offered to coach the team. OL Miss told him to get out. Although the OC has taken the job at LSU as OC, OL Miss is allowing him to coach the team. Lane said he was fine with his OC coach staying at OL Miss for the CFP.Kiffin is a . That’s the difference. You don’t leave your team heading into the playoffs or in the middle of them.
Cignetti is 64 and he is doing just fine.I thought Mora did pretty well despite his youth and inexperience.
Terry Smith comes from Penn State and he's bringing at least the starting QB who was impressive, a star LB and at least one starting WR and CB. We could use them. Any Penn Stste players are better than comps on UConn. We have a lot of holes to fill. Terry is 56, 4-5 years younger than Mora was. I'll overlook his age for everything else he brings. We can dream!
