I don’t have access to it. What does it say?
lol….I have no idea.
I don’t have access to it. What does it say?
Terry Smith and a strong GM/staff. I’m a PSU season ticket holder and follow their program closely. He was very close to getting that job bc players love him. He’s tough and has charisma. UConn could do worse.
Could be coincidental or not but at MS State and now Akron, his teams have had disciplinary issues. Something else to think aboutI think Moorhead was fired because they knew they could get Mike Leach.
Moorhead had Top 25 classes and went 14-12.
His team suffered disciplinary issues, the QB into a fight with a teammate and had to miss a bowl game.
Supposedly he never “bonded” with the fanbase.
The reasons for his exit may have been manufactured But really I just think they wanted Mike Leach.
Also apparently he isn’t in the mix so we don’t need to talk about him.
Why? You also stated that living in Glastonbury is not good but i have been to many other campuses and Mansfield is not bad and again Glastonbury, Avon and West Hartford.Terry Smith would be a colossal mistake for the program. Bob Diaco level of incompetence.
Maybe he would be a good hire, but there are reasons you have never been a head coach when you are 57 years old. Why? You also stated that living in Glastonbury is not good but i have been to many other campuses and Mansfield is not bad and again Glastonbury, Avon and West Hartford.
He is a coach that players love and play hard for him. Moorehead would be worse
From what I've read, invermectin can take care of the BC problem. The bleeding of money that is Rutgers may require euthanasia. My distain for Boston College is second to no one, but they are merely a parasite in a bottom, P4 conference, wow Rutgers is managing to run a 70+ million dollar deficit, notwithstanding being in one of the two most lucrative conferences in college sports.
To me this has the feel of a “leak” from an agent hoping to get Penn State to give in and hire him. Apparently some PSU folks are pushing for Smith. It kind of feels like that type of leak. Some info!

Actually as of late on X Matt Campbell is followed by many Penn St accountsTo me this has the feel of a “leak” from an agent hoping to get Penn State to give in and hire him. Apparently some PSU folks are pushing for Smith. It kind of feels like that type of leak.
That's the very reason that the coaches with certain reputations won't get an offer from UConn. We're the land of steady habits and still think reputations matter. That coaches at places like Yale and Lehigh are in a world with more moral standards (o.k., any moral standards) compared to big time football.
If Cahill is being considered his season could extend with a win this weekend vs Villanova. But if he's the right guy, patience would be the appropriate path. But we'd need some commitment on the other end. It's a difficult situation for everyone involved.Do we root for any possible candidate to lose in a bowl/playoff game to speed up the process ? Haha
You answered your own question.Kiffin left before the CFP. What is the difference?
I'm inclined to go the other way on this. The addition of competent management might help Rutgers who are merely "mostly dead." BC on the other hand is "completely dead."From what I've read, invermectin can take care of the BC problem. The bleeding of money that is Rutgers may require euthanasia.
Don't forget he will bring a dozen Penn State players with him to Husky land.It might have to if we expect to remain competitive in the current landscape. Like it or not, inflation hit coach salaries since Mora's first offer/extension payments were put in place.
Valid points. Just one comment, I have no idea about the schemes they like to run, their personal energy levels, their understanding of FCS football with its NIL, their approach to the student athlete, etc etc. I think you need to interview both carefully to suss many of these important points which are impossible to review via the resume itself.Said this is another thread, but this one is more active.....If we like Cahill, why wouldn't we like Reno more as Cahill spent 10 years as an assistant under Reno. My thought process on Reno: 1) Reno has significantly more HC experience than Cahill, 2) Reno's pre HC experience was on the defensive side of the ball, so keeping Sammis as OC is a possibility, 3) Reno brings a QB with him (his son Dante who transferred to Yale from South Carolina). 4) Reno is 51 and Cahill is 47, so age is not a factor.
Hopefully.Don't forget he will bring a dozen Penn State players with him to Husky land.
Please no. No head coaching experience and turns 57 soon.
Reno’s son may not transfer until after graduating from Yale.Said this is another thread, but this one is more active.....If we like Cahill, why wouldn't we like Reno more as Cahill spent 10 years as an assistant under Reno. All in on Terry Smith. Players love him and he can bring talent here.
Why give up when Tony Reno, Gus Malzahn, Brian Kelly and Ed Ogeron are available.Rule #1... I would think if we lose Mullen to Penn State after they had to go through a series of epic fails to get to him then DB will say eh I give up I'll just hire Sammis
Mora is 64 and BY has no problem with himPlease no. No head coaching experience and turns 57 soon.
