I would love to have him coaching Uconn but I can not fault him for loving URI and unsure of leaving. In fact I respect that a lot. He has a good thing going in a Top 10 conference (I think they are #9 or 10 by most metrics) with a ceiling as high as 8 if st. bonnies continues to grow, Davidson builds off of their appearance in the tourney this year and a 4th/5th team raises up next year similar to what Davidson did this year. A good thing going too because people will not be going crazy if he does not make the final four or even elite 8 every other year. Continue to have years around the success of this year and people will love him. Going to Uconn, well he has a heck of a lot more to live up to.

I know it sounds silly now - but don't sleep on UMass. They are in a good spot for the first time in 20 years. McCall is legit. Really, really legit.

Calhoun was thinking about staying at Northeastern fellas, loyalty is a good quality

UConn is a step up from RI and he has a bunch of seniors who will be leaving, that can help us

So far I've heard about three qualities that remind be of JC. Program builder, loyal and a Northeastern (New England) guy. (just not defensive FG% :))

The traffic from Pittsburgh to NJ is far better than it is from NJ to CT... trust me, I live in PA now and going home is a nightmare bc of the traffic!!!

Trust me, I have a house at the Shore. It’s not that bad from CT to NJ or reverse, just pick the right time to travel.

Since no other names have been mentioned, I think DB may have some sort of "commitment"

Emphasis on "I think" and "commitment" is not intended to imply binding

Def not an unreasonable take.

Not the best look for anyone though

It would be Storrs not Glastonbury, but yeah it's like twice the distance. Still getting around NYC and through Fairfield County is brutal.

Fairfield Cty is fine if it's not rush hour. When it's not rush hour the Merritt and 95 cruise. Or North in the morning and South in the afternoon when you're against the traffic flow. I still think it's easier to avoid the mess and go 84, 684 down Henry Hudson to the GW. I've made Giants Stadium from Danbury in an hour and fifteen minutes with light traffic. Coming home is a different ball game Head bang

The Bada Bing is not in Jersey City... it’s in Lodi. So that’s stupid. My point wasn’t Pittsburgh. My point is that using the proximity is stupid bc of the traffic. I don’t live in Pittsburgh. It’s probably about 4 hours. But I will tell you a drive from Bucks County, PA (right by Trenton) to lets say, Bridgeport should take 2 hours with no traffic. My point is there is pretty much always traffic and it can take far longer. And I would rather fly from Pittsburgh to Newark than Hartford to Newark.

There is NO way you make it from Glastonbury with no traffic to Lodi in less than an hour. I’ll buy you a drink if you do. I’m a woman and I’ll buy you lap dances and drinks if you do. It won’t happen.

I love CT. Homesick. But there’s a reason CT didn’t land Amazon. Infrastructure and congestion was a big factor!
Just to clarify from a seasoned NJ Go-Go bar veteran, The Bada Bing is fictional and is actually Satin Dolls. A fine establishment that unfortuately is no longer providing high quality adult entertainment as of this past December.

Calling BULLS++T on this one! I live in Port Chester work in NYC...and I can tell you that there is absolutely NO way outside of a accident shutting down a major highway that it takes less time to get to Pittsburgh from Jersey City area than it does to Storrs. Pittsburgh from this area is 7-8 hrs minimum.

Did the NJ to CT ride for 3 years. It's not bad if you know how. Timing is everything and traffic reports are your friend.

Read in your best Han Solo voice:

I once did the Boston to Mid-town run in 2 hours and 48 mins flat.

That has nothing to do with anything though.

Lol, best time was a Thanksgiving day at 6 am. In Hartford by 8:30 from Princeton. Had the NJTP all to myself and it was glorious.

Princeton to Pittsburgh is 5-6 hours easy. It takes 3 to get to State College or Harrisburg.
