He took human garbage to the NCAA tournament. He scored 27 points against UConn in the NCAA tournament despite Calhoun sending double and trip-teams to him every time he touched the ball. (O'Neal also sat out the two weeks before that game because he broke his freaking leg.)

There were four saddles on him every single night. Don't even think of comparing Kansas, Virginia or Michigan State to those LSU teams - those teams were championship teams. LSU had TJ Pugh, the kid from Spain no one else wanted and Vern Jackson. That's not even an NIT team without O'Neal.

And the year they almost had a decent roster...half the team was on cocaine.

Shaq was so dominant, he got doubled which enabled Travis to get a $21 million dollar contract.

Seriously, why we don't leverage Bunkey's charismatic skills after his proven track record and our subsequent string of failures after his departure; remains a mystery to me. Let's not let ego be an obstacle to success. Hiring Bunkey to fire up the crowd and make recruits visits memorable is the cheapest and biggest no brainer!
When we signed seven 4 star type guys it wasn't because recruits were messmerized by ten toes in and taking the stairs not the escalator.
