AMA, Terrell and Chukwu to PC says John Rooke

No basketball recruit in the history of man kind has ever not promoted his announcement by saying he's "going to shock people". Whether the announcement turns out to be shocking or not, varies.

Thanks, I was back east getting my daughter married off when PC announced. In regards to Abu I have no idea but as has been pointed out in other threads, insiders at our Scout site are saying UConn, but I also agree with the sentiment that Expressions is orchestrating this announcement and the misinformation that appears to be flying around. I just want Saturday to get here so we can end what has become a bit of a circus and all move on.

Ahhh, the father of the bride, eh, friarJ!!! I'll be performing those same duties 3 1/2 weeks from now. You probably were better off living out of state. Bridal planning is tough......

I made my first post over at that board after someone wrote that UConn never has any talent to work with, and the PP is not a bad football coach. My post simply stated that our football coach had 9 NFL players on his roster when the team posted a losing season, so the team wasn't without talent.

I was banned.

Have to say, I always thought UConn fans made fun of the PC board's banning after they trolled the place... but this is a new height.

Oh boy do you have a great day ahead of you! Congrats. yes being out of state helped, but the check I wrote still worked fine. :)

Huh? I tried to post and it wouldn't go through. Then two posts were erased. Just noticed someone postered Borges' tweet about Abu in a thread, and the thread was erased. Hmm, maybe that site is acting funny. Sure seems a lot of stuff gets deleted.

Getting my daughter married off? I hope that you could find a better way of wording it.

If it were me, my response would have been something like "I'm losing my little girl to some guy who will never be good enough for her!".

That aside, congrats J!

She gave me cufflinks that had a childhood picture of her I cherish on one and the words, "I loved her 1st" on the other. Still has me choked up, it was a lot more sentimental than my words on a message board. Thanks for the congrats, fellow future father of the brides, the money is easy, the giving her away is not. They are both SHU grads so at least they have that going for them... :)
 
I echo FriarJ's thanks to all well wishers. After I log off here I need to work on my speech (to wife & daughters approval). Next week is dancing lessons in NYC where my daughter lives.
For all you fathers with daughters this is a real experience. Writing the check is sometimes the easiest part.
FriarJ, which SHU did your daughters graduate from. Seton Hall U, or Sacred Heart U?

Congratulations are in order for you sir both for the wonderful occasion you celebrated with your daughter and for the ability to stay above the fray allowing FfldCntyFan and Yonick to communicate to you in a non hostile manner. I'm impressed.
