Super.

Take two steps out of Louisville and the entire state turns blue.

Two games above .500 since they joined the Big East - someone alert the SEC that a national power is now in their midst.

You don't have to take two steps out of Louisville. I had a good friend with a law practice in Louisville. He was a diehard Cardinal fan. He said he was in a very small minority within his firm that wasn't blue first, second and always.

I like Frank. While one may not agree with his conclusions his posts are well thought out and reasonable. He's not one of the attention seekers who have deservedly taken some crap here.

People don't like Calhoun because he won. Same reason I don't like K. Or Cal. Or Roy. And didn't like Tark.

It's why I don't have an opinion of Few. It's why I laugh at Cronin. And mock Sendek.

Had Calhoun never gotten over the hump he would have been fondly remember nationally as the guy who took UConn a long way. Once you really win people generally don't like you.

Don't be a dick. We already had that one jackass, specialist or whatever his name is, drive one guy away - let's not go for two.

You can only be a dick to UConn fans. We're all used to it and largely deserve it.

On an unrelated note, today on the Boneyard I learned that Louisville is a major football power. They are world-famous in a small part of Kentucky.

And Waylon chased off the guy who was a legitimate insider. Fromtheinside maybe?

Louisville has a pretty decent football program. Clearly they will never own Kentucky, but in the last legitimate Big East they had the second best football fan base after WVU.

Loo-Ville was good under Petrino.
But didn't his leaving coinside with them coming to the BE.
They promply fell off the cliff
I remember thinking we got taken on this deal.
Their BBall was also in a funk until Ricky rescued it.Even Denny Crums last years were pretty bad.
I remember missing the NCAA's because our strenth of schedule was weak that year.
We had beaten a pretty bad Louisville team. It was fodder for the UK board.
KY was my second home for 30 years. We had over 200 workers in our plant and and only one Louisville fan.
Most people would have preferred a local high school game then watching the Cardinals.
The State University plays for more than the school. They identify with UK because they feel the School represents them.
Its the same feeling the post WWII veterans had when ARMY played NAVY in the 50's and 60's
Those teams were much bigger than the Schools. If you were in the Army you were for Army.
It also accounts for a small state like Nebraska having such a following.
We had a Big 12 womens golf tourney at my home course.
The Nebraska people had large signs made to support their girls.

To a lesser degree Connecticut citizens are similar for basketball.
Our football team never got Joe sixpack to feel apart of their team.
