I guess this is fine if he doesn‘t play. One of our biggest challenges is too many players at his position and not enough minutes. Next year Martin and Polley will be gone. We don’t need a kid with no experience actually playing at the key mom of the season.
Would his scholarship still count against that class or would that mean we have another schollie to add for that year ?
But 4 years eligibility right? There is no such thing as scholarships counting against a class. You can have all 13 of your scholarships be in the same class if you want.
If he comes for the second semester, we will have 12 scholarships that count. Come the 22-23 season, he would count as one scholarship player regardless of whether he starts this winter or next fall.
Under current rules, five years to play 4. If he does what Akok did, he will come in in the fall with four years to play four. But 4 years eligibility right?

Medical redshirts are always separate for basketball, so he'd still be eligible to apply if he had a season ending injury. The only redshirt he'd miss out on would be the kind Corey Floyd Jr is taking this year with a non-injury season, which he really shouldn't need anywayYeah so the downside would be if he got hurt he would likely not be able to make that season up.
"Ill take the one to the far right for $200 Alex"It's a big decision!

It looks like some Olympic trying school you’d find in China.I’ve seen some pictures of IMG….. my jaw hit the floor. My jaw also hit the floor when I saw the price tag, but I am guessing a lot of people are there on scholarships. Definitely a lot different than the public school I went to.
IMG would get thrown out of CT. They play my local championship high school Venice and one year they're offensive line was all over 300 lb outweighing Bob diaco's offensive line by like 50 lb
Alex - What is the question to which the answer is "Which of these women wouldn't give you the time of day?""Ill take the one to the far right for $200 Alex"![]()

I thought I saw he's in a cast? Is that why he's considering getting up on campus since he's going to miss a portion of his SR season?
Staff should push for this every single time with recruits. That extra semester of practice against elite college competition will pay off huge dividends in the future.UConn could get a new addition to the roster in as soon as a week. Alex Karaban, the 6-7 Class of 2022 forward who committed to the Huskies this summer, could possibly enroll at the school early and join the team. If he did, Karaban could be with UConn shortly after Christmas — though he almost won’t play this season, much like Akok Akok did a few years ago and guard Cory Floyd Jr. is doing this season.![]()

I agree. Totally nothing but positives to come a semester early. There is no downside to this
Drove by the campus once had all the appeal of a car dealership. A sports factory, if you want your kid to receive a sports scholarship to college send 'em to IMG.
I would put him behind Polley, Hawkins, Cole so I'll go with 4th bestSerious question, if he immediately got minutes would he be our 3rd best, 2nd best or best shooter on the floor?
more importantly i'll go with 2nd best next year after hawkSerious question, if he immediately got minutes would he be our 3rd best, 2nd best or best shooter on the floor?
Does it really say "though he almost won't play...."? Editing is a lost art. Spell check doesn't catch errors like that.UConn could get a new addition to the roster in as soon as a week. Says "almost certainly" in the article. Borges must have gone back and edited it.Does it really say "though he almost won't play...."? Editing is a lost art. Spell check doesn't catch errors like that.
