I just think this staff is casting a wider net that will include anyone who can help, not just athletic, potentially multidimensional recruits. One or two skill guys can help you win.

I saw a graphic comparing Clings numbers vs Zach Edeys as a freshman. Our guys numbers are better.
Slightly yes, and he's playing the same minutes Edey did as a freshman. Bodes well for next year. I honestly don't think he has the stamina yet to play much more than 20 minutes. His highest is 21 min, and that was twice. Two 19 and two 18 min games. His low is 7 (Xavier and Ok State) and I think that's about defensive matchups.

Alex Karaban would crush that Texas steak- eating challenge every time he entered.
Clingan orders two 72 ounce challenges and he’s asking for the dessert menu by the 25 minute mark.

What I liked yesterday was that Clingan didn't pick up any fouls (although Butler didn't really have any bigs). The last two games he picked up two quick fouls in the first half and then two quick fouls in the second halves. People were complaining he didn't get enough minutes in those games. At the rate he was picking up fouls not many more minutes were possible. It was a concern.

Let's take it down a notch @superjohn.

Sanogo's averaging 16 & 7 in league play and leading the league in season avg ppg.

He's been our best player.

Yet he is the SIXTH best center in the league for effective FG% and his turnovers are up in league play.

THe following centers are all shooting better than he is. We need more efficiency. the PPS is telling.

We desperately need him to play defense and to pass. It was Butler but he actually passed yesterday.

He did have a couple good looks. The scripted High post pass to a cutter for a layup was nice, but the problem will always be kicking out from low post quickly when recognizing doubles. He did do a little better with that yesterday. Let's hope it continues.

He's a solid to actually very good one on one defender in the post, he bodies up really well, but he is not a good interior help defender at all, don't know if he will ever be at this point. You have to go back to 2012-2013 banned tournament team's combination of Enoch Wolf /Olander at the 5 to see Sanogo's type of interior help D.

Glad to see him bounce back after having a rough 3-4 games where he was attacked relentlessly in the other team's scout and then in the game seemingly. He's such an easy kid to root for, hopefully we have him a long time he's such a weapon for us!

I don't think he's played enough to work up a sweat yet, so it would be hard to make judgement about his conditioning.

Usage matters. Easier to shoot a higher % on 1/3 less shots a game.

On the flip side he definitely had at least one possession where he did his fade away jump hook in the lane as soon as he caught the ball.

This is his move where us fans are all used to him catching, dribble, dribble, dribble, pump fake and then shoot over/through the double team. It's the one we all moan and groan when we see. Instead, he caught turned and shot all in one motion and it was pretty obvious he took the shot way quicker than he was used to doing. He missed pretty badly (I think front rimmed it on a short-arm shot attempt0.

Some have asked whose game in college hoops Karaban either reminds me of, or, I would like to see him emulate? Watching him play tonite, Jacquez of UCLA.... I see many similarities... Assuming he gets there, he will be a great one

Karaban take and makes way, way more 3s than Jacquez. Jacquez is a bad shooter. Karaban is borderline elite. Similar size and rebounding/passing but not much else to compare IMO.

Good points... Jacquez better defensibly... True on the 3-s but Jacquez is a mainstay in the UCLA rotation
