He can also enter the nba draft in June. I will believe it when he actually starts practice next October.

This sounds like something Calhoun would pull off and then the NCAA would have to put a new rule on the books. Love it!

I just read a link to a Syracuse article that said this: "In-state tuition for just one semester at Connecticut would be about $7,000 and he could receive financial aid."

The fact is, he doesn't have to take a full slate of classes to be a matriculated student. He could go half-time and pay half of the tuition. Players do this all the time anyway by enrolling in intersession and summer courses, then going light during the spring.

Attending Putnam qualifies for in state? He’s from NH. How’s that determined? Lately, he does get his mail in CT.

Do they still do in-state for New England with reciprocal agreements?

Just let out a pretty loud “YESSSSS!!!!” while shopping. Several strange looks from the Trader Joe’s patrons as well as my wife.
Probably wanted to see which free sample you were eating.

And I missed the news because my daughter was born at the same time! Glad we finally landed him!

We'll need proof you didn't make that up just to get lots of likes! Photo and birth certificate will do.

Awesome

From the video he’s muscular but not a stringbean and also does not have an NBA body at this point. 9 months with Sal will get him ready and why couldn’t we get at least 2 full seasons out of him? A few questions, why does he have the same first name as his last? Is this common in some counties? Does he have 2 first names or 2 last names? Just wondering.

You never heard of Major Major?

”I look up at the NBA jerseys that are on the wall in the practice facility,” Akok said. “There aren’t just a couple, they almost stretch the entire length of the court. I wanna be on that wall one day and I wanna play with guys whose jerseys are on that wall.”

This quote is awesome! ;)

Let's restate this because it has only been said once: the name is pronounced Ah-cook.

So, let's get this out of the way too: "Ah-cook, Ah-cook, my kingdom for a cook."
Akok Akok (pronounced Uh-cook Uh-cook) !!!
Who knew?
Found this from earlier, not sure if it's the one you were referring to or which is accurate... but it is just slightly different. Guess we'll find out fairly soon though when he's interviewed. ;)

I love this gem from one of the posters:

"Complete fraud

Hurley has some Calhoun in him. Big Jim was one of the best cheaters in the history of college basketball"
