By video, looked to be an Achilles tear. If so, a tragic, massive blow to the kid. Let’s hope for the best.
A year? What is the recovery time for that type of injury?
Depends on strain vs tear vs ruptureWhat is the recovery time for that type of injury?
About a yearWhat is the recovery time for that type of injury?
Breanna Stewart just came back from this injury it took slightly less than a year. What is the recovery time for that type of injury?
They said it on the broadcast. He’s also wearing a boot/air cast.Is this confirmed? I see him on the bench with no ice or anything.
A year to play again. Usually 18 months to be close to 90% of what you were athletically before the injury. What is the recovery time for that type of injury?
I'm pretty sure you know the answer to this. If he's out the entire year he still takes a scholarship.First of all I feel awful for him. Hard seeing someone whose worked so hard to be in tears and have this happen.
Can we redshirt him next year and if we do does it open another scholarship? I’m obv trying to be sensitive with the injury but also curious how his spot can/will be filled?
You really want to turn this thread into an argument over the S&C coach? Go away. This sucks.
We roasted the last strength & conditioning guy and assigned him blame for all of the injuries that afflicted the Huskies. What about now? Polley, now Akok. Carlton has no lift. Genuinely curious.
This. He can see the court in about 12 months and will probably have load management for a while if he even plays next year (medical redshirt is on the table), but it’s basically the worst injury possible for basketball player. He does have youth on his side and he’s not very heavy.A year to play again. Usually 18 months to be close to 90% of what you were athletically before the injury.
Almost nobody returns to 100% of what they were.
