Sammis’s job is to put the offense in position to win the game. It is NOT to market a “national story” or develop individual statistics. Fagnano’s interception was the result of a tipped ball, not the play calling by the OC.Ok a win is a win. That said, be cognizant of the moment. Sammis screwed both Fagnano and Bell with absolute crap play calling never giving these guys a chance. What an utter fool. He won the game and lost the national story. So pissed.
I was expecting one after seeing the GovernorWas there a pre game flyover? We host Air Force of all teams in P&W stadium and seemingly nothing?
Edit: just listened to Mora's post game presser. The defense opted for a 4-3-4 for Air Force today and limited them to less than half their usual score. That's a big adaptation. They can run, but we did more with our run game today.
I’m sure I said something to effect of that. Hey they were carving us up big time to start the game. But I’ll never be upset to eat my words when it comes to UConn winning. You weren’t the one that said Air Force was going to score at will, were you?
I went solo today from Fairfield county, as no one was available. I sat with 2 elderly Alums who were very quiet but friendly and knowledgeable. I had a blast!31k today at the Rent for a middling Air Force team… that’s a good sign. The people are coming back out. And on a day with the Ice Bus and a marquee basketball game both a comfortable drive away.

As mentioned in the chat, having no interceptions includes a lot of luck. I have seen plenty of games where a perfect pass is mishandled by a receiver only to be intercepted. The great catch by Bell balanced out Joe’s INT.Cheap way to lose the int-less season.
I agree completely Most of their rushing yards were on runs right up the gut. No deception or pitches to another back the way Navy used to carve up UConn.I felt like the option offense was calling the same option each play up the middle. Not too much lateral movement from what I remember but it was so boring to watch I might have dozed off for a few of their plays.
There was definitely 30k+. Took a little bit for the Tailgaters to trickle in as usualI was at the game and it looked like maybe 25k attendance which was very disappointing. Not sure if the hoops game against BYU hurt attendance, but it'd been nice to have a big crowd and one that was in their seats early to applaud the seniors when they were introduced pre-game.

He was a great running back at Norwalks High. He played both ways.I was worried that Air Force would run it down UConn’s throats all game. They got their yards but we got the win after D improved.
Joe seemed off today. He may be injured and sorry to see he gave up his first official INT this season. It could have been worse as Bell prevented another INT and possible pick six with an incredible catch.
Give Cam the game ball for his tremendous effort. I still find it hard to believe that he started his UConn career as DB.
Now finish strong at FAU to maximize the bowling opportunities.
We're undefeated in regulation play. I should know...I still say we’re 8-0-3.
Old Guy (86) alum wish he could have sat with you. Glad you had a great time....Go HuskiesI went solo today from Fairfield county, as no one was available. I sat with 2 elderly Alums who were very quiet but friendly and knowledgeable. I had a blast!
