Chose Hamilton over the Huskies yesterday but eager to watch the replay.

I was nervous for a while earlier this season but thrilled the guys covered my over on 7.5 wins!

Let’s not forget - Fagnano was a benchwarmer until he wasn’t. People were done with him after less than two games of work in 2023. Now look where we are. And fwiw being a benchwarmer behind Joe isn’t anything to be ashamed of.
Courant’s Dom Amore brings up a fair point in his Sunday column:

Last word - Sure, the Heisman is a little overboard here, but in watching this remarkable season of Joe Fagnano’s unfold, bear in mind that one of the most valuable assets a football program can have is a reputation for developing quarterbacks in a pro style offense. It could get UConn more good ones.”

C'mon, you never want to see injuries. That borders on unsportsmanlike.
Okay. I don't know who the hell said you want to see an injury. But one happened, on a clean hit, and it happened to be a kid that was gashing us. I wasn't sitting clutching a rosary praying that his hand got broken. I doubt there were Air Force fans hoping to see Vincent Jackson assisted off the field. It is an observation that a player that was killing us was taken out on a clean hit. I think it was McClean that came up and hit him like he was tired of getting pounded on by this dude. Don't think for a second it was his intent to injure the dude. And yes it helped us yesterday in getting the win, that he did not come back in. No one has to wish for an injury to acknowledge that, that was how it played out.

Hating on Pindell is the most ridiculous take I've seen on the Boneyard in a while, and that's truly saying something...

Dude, your "OMG I'm offended!" act wears thin. There's no hate. There's simply consideration from my end on how Fagnano fits what Mora is trying to do perfectly. Pindell was a product of a different time. We can appreciate what he did then while also recognizing that what Joe is doing now is simply a better fit for the program - and what Mora is building is an actual program. See post #122.

So many thin-skinned wusses around these days.

I'm not offended. It's just an extremely dumb take...

David Pindell in 2018 was voted the MVP and the Offensive Player of the Year. He threw for almost 2,000 yards and finished the year with a 123 QB rating. He recorded the most rushing yards in a single season by a QB in UConn history. THIS is the guy we're gonna negatively comment on???

LOL...

Not sure where to find a full game replay. Let us know if you find it.

I bet 7, 8, & 9 regular seasons wins, need next week for the trifecta. We are doomed.

Eh, you're offended.

Is Fagnano a better QB, yes or no? (hint: more total yards in 100 less plays with a game to go)

Saying "yes" does not mean you're negatively commenting on Pindell. C'mon, you can do it.

I can still remember listening to the game from Boise, sitting in the car on a hot humid September night on the LI North Fork, and the PxP announcer goes, "And Pindell is into the secondary and NO ONE is gonna catch him as he has got ONE SET OF WHEELS!!"

UConn's record during the Pindell years was certainly not on him.

NYC or the Bushnell? Hamilton tix are usually a months in advance proposition if avoiding the resellers. So if you apply to the BY Court, you will most likely be forgiven. 😉

Without looking at the passing stats I would have to say no since Pindell was a much better runner and he played on a much worse team.

Not sure which game it was, perhaps Ball State where we got a glimpse of Evers and a couple of others. I dunno, they looked pretty good. We have only seen that tiny glimpse but in that group I am thinking UConn could find a starter. We don't know what kind of progress they have made this year.
Wondering if Pryce Tracy hire has impacted the whole QB room in a positive fashion. Agreed that Evers looked like he was throwing a better ball albeit in a few throws.

Hope you're still cherishing that win over URI. It takes the sting out of losing to UMass at home.

Yeah, that 2018 team did have the worst defense in FBS at 130. But hey, that offense was 112th best!

Hahaha ... talk about a track meet .... The weather was gorgeous though. 🙂

Don't feel sorry for them at all. Remember they compete with UConn in recruiting. Not sure NE can support UConn, BC & UMass. Liked it better when Mass was an FCS program.
I don't think UMass is competing with UConn anymore. UMass this year might be worse than UConn's 2018 team and that is saying something. If UConn is ever in a tough recruiting battle with UMass in football, that means UConn Football took a turn for the worse.
