Based on his size, quickness and athleticism hopefully Kemba.
Very different player than Kemba. Taliek with a jumpshot seems about as close to a UConn comp as we'll get.

Not just Nowell. According to this article Jalil Bethea didn't include them in his final list in spite of him previously thinking Calipari was like God.........I like the narrative, fabricated or not. Say it often enough and it becomes its own truth. UConn got a recruit over Calamari, Uconn got a recruit over Calamari, (say it again and then repeat).

Same. Comp for Fland (floor) seems Justice Williams @ LSUNowell is going to help a team win more than Fland anyways. Frankly, I'd be kind of disappointed if Fland commited to us. I don't like his game. Me me me basketball. He's a better fit for UK or some other school that prioritizes exposure and flash like LSU.
Nowell plays winning basketball--team first. Fits way better in our culture. I guarantee we'll win close games because or his selflessness and leadership by the time he's done in Storrs.
CF has already chosen PC..............Do we have a realistic chance at CF? I thought it was a foregone conclusion he was going to Puke.

I remember one of the guys on the Kentucky board preaching about how he wouldn't have wanted to win that game in the FF if their guards were fighting among themselves. The expression "In their grill" was a perfect metaphor that was used that day for that pair when it came to getting defensibly up and in on opposing guards.
And I respect a player who "took one for the team".I kind of liked a player who knew what needed to be run and making sure his teammates were all in the right places.............
Also gym rats and tough as nails.Seems to me Hurley recruits guys who play team ball. I love that.
I love a coach with a “type”Also gym rats and tough as nails.
Kentucky fans are something else. Yeah I’d rather lose a National Championship game because one of my guards had to correct the other on where to be during a set play. Delusional lmaoI remember one of the guys on the Kentucky board preaching about how he wouldn't have wanted to win that game in the FF if their guards were fighting among themselves.
He was referring Shabazz shoving Boatright to get in the correct spot on the floor. I kind of liked a player who knew what needed to be run and making sure his teammates were all in the right places.............

It was a lazy response to a kid who's asking what his plan should be over the summer. The return of gym rats is what makes me most happy.
It's still burned in my memory of Ollie having to tell players they need to spend more time in the gym. And yes, I realize a coach needs to give players a better game plan for improving than spending more time in the gym. But, as a player, a coach should never need to tell you to spend more time in the gym.
I also like these kids are winners and seem to play a lot of pick up ball. I'm long over a majority of a recruiting class being raw talent which just needs game time to mature.
They would have gotten him if it wasn’t for that meddling $2 beer night.
You’re coming off as arrogant… don’t be an arrogant fanThey would have gotten him if it wasn’t for that meddling $2 beer night.
It'll be interesting to see if Hurley has to make any tactical changes with a small PG instead of the larger lineup we had success with last year and will be running back this year.
Or is he coming off as funny? You’re coming off as arrogant… don’t be an arrogant fan
Personally I wish the university would make every Gampel game a $2 beer night. Look at the crowd this past season. It’s a great investment.Or is he coming off as funny? Enjoy life more, you'll live longer.

If we don’t have $2 beer night when Georgetown comes to Gampel next time we aren’t a serious program lol. It’s clearly in Cooley’s head already. It’s a joke about Cooley. C’mon now.
I still remember Florida more than UK, mainly because of how hyped Scottie Wilbekin was all year, how we beat them in Gampel but they were allegedly a whole other team, they were th #1 seed, and how completely we embarrassed their back court. The expression "In their grill" was a perfect metaphor that was used that day for that pair when it came to getting defensibly up and in on opposing guards.
Lol, you are absolutely right, Providence College deserves our respect as long as they've got a experience coach like Ed Cooley! It’s a joke about Cooley. C’mon now.
You can't do it every night, then it loses its novelty (but you definitely could do it for every PC game). I suspect they will use it to drive attendance at otherwise less games.Personally I wish the university would make every Gampel game a $2 beer night. Look at the crowd this past season.
