ACC Regular season, 2023

I can see this wasn't the best to come to look for sympathy
You are all right in my book, Triaddukefan. I was just pullin’ ya leg and bustin’ ya chops. I thought for sure that Duke was going to win the ACC. They let a lot of us Husky fans down, today. I’m a big fan of Lawson and the players. I just don’t like the Devil. :D

The Louisville-Notre Dame game was a lot of fun to watch, especially as a Canadian fan. Merissah Russell and Cassandre Prosper both had great games. The Capital Courts program in Ottawa, ON knows how to develop talent. They sometimes get overlooked as Crestwood gets a lot of attention, but they do a good job developing players.

Sorry @triaddukefan , but Banghart owns Lawson. Maybe she'll beat Carolina eventually?

Friday Night, mark it down. If not, I might have a police escort out of the Greensboro Coliseum.:eek:

Man what a brutal loss for Duke. I turned it on at 36-29 Duke and it was all UNC the rest of the way. Hope @triaddukefan is hanging in there.

I was warming up lunch, and getting the Apple Cider ready, but alas... had to put the Cider back under the sink. Didn't even feel like eating my lunch. I'm just glad I didn't attend the game in person... heard that Chapel Hill was pretty classless after the game.

I thought so too, but seems like our players get too amped up when they face Chapel Hill. I actually didn't get to see the game due to blackout rules, but listened to it on the radio. Taylor had an awful game, just like she did in the first meeting. She will get her chance on Friday to redeem herself.

Oh yeah..Blue Devils are the good kind.... Blue Demons are the bad kind. :D

Would VA Tech take the #2 seed in the ACC tourney away from Duke if they beat GA Tech today?
No. They split the regular season but Duke had the tiebreaker over VT because they beat ND (the first place team) and VT lost to ND. One ACC tiebreaker rule, if the tied teams played each other twice in the regular season and split their games, then each team’s record against the team occupying the highest position in the final regular-season standings (or in case of a tie for first place, the next highest position in the regular-season standings) and then continuing down through the standings until one team gains an advantage.

Not WBB related, but it's sad day in the ACC. One of the greats in conference history. R.I.P

.
what did I miss? In other words what happened?

Considering Duke was only averaging 1,800 fans per game before yesterday and 9,314 showed up, my guess is the Tarheels were pandering to their 7,500 fans in attendanc…

Coach of the Year
Niele Ivey, Notre Dame 211
Kara Lawson, Duke 142
Kenny Brooks, Virginia Tech 137

Wow, and the voting for the top spot wasn’t particularly close

Figured Lawson would win until they lost to NC on Sunday and lost the regular season title

Saniya Rivers becomes the third consecutive NC State player to win the 6th man award, after Jada Boyd and Diamond Johnson. The official press release from the ACC office was lacking.
