Gave the Wolves something to snack on, enough for the whole Pack.
Kitley with the cold blooded dagger, jumper at the buzzer to beat Carolina.
I thought their defense was bad on several inbound plays in the closing seconds of the game.Nice shot by Kitley but what a defensive lapse to leave her wide open. Might want to guard the conference POY.
Just a simple screen and they completely lost her.
Yes, it's also kind of hard to lose her.Nice shot by Kitley but what a defensive lapse to leave her wide open. Might want to guard the conference POY.

I believe the NCAA will allow WBB teams to increase assistants to 5 (from 3). If so, Coach Walz might move a few staffers up and could find room for Mykasa on staff. She has to be his alter ego on the court, IMHO. Louisville is playing so much better since he put her in the starting lineup.Louisville prevails 71-57. Hailey Van Lith w/ 25 points but I think I'm giving the game ball to Robinson. Career high 12 points on 6-9 shooting, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and her usual whirlwind defense. She's the ultimate glue player.
Shouldn't this say "put her back in the starting lineup"?I believe the NCAA will allow WBB teams to increase assistants to 5 (from 3). Never understood why she was coming off the bench personally, but I'm biased as I've been a fan of her play since she joined the team. I get your point, but this is not levied lightly. More so than Hailey Van Lith (who is a scorer at heart), Robinson gets what needs to be done on the court and executes it. Yes, she's the "heart" of the team, but I'm also saying she's the "head."Shouldn't this say "put her back in the starting lineup"?Never understood why she was coming off the bench personally, but I'm biased as I've been a fan of her play since she joined the team.
I get some of the incoming transfers were better scorers, but she exemplifies the standard Walz expects out of his players. That's way more valuable especially in a conference like the ACC.
I don't know if I'd consider her Walz's alter ego though. That doesn't do her justice in my opinion. She's definitely the heart of the team because of how they perform when she's on the court.
This Sunday's rematch with ND is going to be something, especially with it being Louisville's Senior Day.
Gotta be the #1 Play of the Year in the ACC. So much joy among the young ladies. Brings a tear to my eye.
And just before conference tournament time. Yikes.
Niele Ivey said, thank you, Duke.Sorry @triaddukefan , but Banghart owns Lawson. Maybe she'll beat Carolina eventually?

This game (as it was in the game at Notre Dame) was a tough and roughly contested game, with both teams being very aggressive both in the paint as well as in the perimeter. "Chippy Play" from both Louisville and Notre Dame players. There was a strange call in this one. Ebo bulldozed Robinson, but she was just trying to run down a rebound and couldn't stop her momentum. They called it "excessive contact" but it certainly didn't warrant a technical foul I didn't think.
Hailey Van Lith took one heck of an elbow directly to the nose. Took quite a while to stop the bleeding before she could re-enter the game. I'd be shocked if it's not broken.
I was confused about that as well. The only thing I'd guess is the "rationale" was the arm contact above the shoulders. But how could she avoid it based on her momentum? There was a strange call in this one. Ebo bulldozed Robinson, but she was just trying to run down a rebound and couldn't stop her momentum. Was expecting it to be very physical. Have a feeling we'll see more of this during the ACC conference tournament from all the teams. Should be very entertaining. This game (as it was in the game at Notre Dame) was a tough and roughly contested game, with both teams being very aggressive both in the paint as well as in the perimeter. Clempsun freshman guard, Ruby Whitehorn, far outplayed Taniya LadsonClemson takes down Florida St., NC State survives a close one with Pitt.

and now they’re ACC champs again. Ivey is only going to continue improving as a coach.
