Well, USAA won't accept him. He just wants to feel wanted.Effen Gronk is funding PC? Most disappointing news I’ve heard in awhile.

He’s a millionaire in the 50 mill range as best I can tell.i think that astronomer guy at the coldplay concert is just a random small company CEO, definitely not a billionaire. i can't even think of any billionaire UCONN alums. St John's has that billionaire bodyarmour or vitamin water guy

Was
25
If it was 50, it’s 25I disagree. I know guys with lawn and pest control services worth 25 mill. It’s got to be more in the tech world. He’ll be paid to go away with investor money.

Byron's compensation at Astronomer has not been made public, but the New York Post estimated his net worth to be between $20 million and $70 million. The Coldplay guy isn't a billionaire. The company is valued at just over a billion.
We need a star to replace Mullins in the starting lineup next year. If Landrew isn’t that guy (Jake W referred to him as a project) then I just don’t see what hole he fills when we’ll have County Furphy and Ross backing up the 1,2,3Wonder if the staff views Landrew as the star of this class and someone they must save budget for? Could be why we lost Cloer ultimately as well?
I think it should be pretty telling then that the staff is or was recruiting Cloer, Toure, Samuels, and Landrew. Apparently they see a role for a freshman wing off the benchWe need a star to replace Mullins in the starting lineup next year. Assuming we get County the only 2 holes we should have are starting SF and backup PF/C which isn’t a role Cloer couldve filled either
They also saw a role for Mahaney so fair game to wonder. Even if there is a potential role for a backup wing it’s not as important as starting wing and backup PF/C since We’ll have County and at least 1 of Furphy/Ross (but hopefully both), as backup wings. No one in the grid to back up Stu or Reibe. So can we agree we shouldnt blow our nut on Landrew unless he’s good enough to be a starter?I think it should be pretty telling then that the staff is or was recruiting Cloer, Toure, Samuels, and Landrew. Last I've heard is we are in good shape but stiff competition. Could come down to $$$Have you heard anything on Mingo?
I have my opinions about our wing group and why I would pursue Landrew even off the bench, but that's besides the point. I'm just saying considering we are pursuing 4 wings and continuing to bring them in for visits it seems pretty safe to assume we want one to commitThey also saw a role for Mahaney so fair game to wonder. Yes yes it’s very clear that staff is prioritizing a seemingly backup quality wing, I’m wondering why that’s the case because it also seems clear that isnt one of our 2 biggest needsI have my opinions about our wing group and why I would pursue Landrew even off the bench, but that's besides the point. Very common in Florida. When you have 100’s of residential and commercial accounts the company is worth millions. I have friends with commercial landscaping, pest control and AC companies etc. worth many, many millions of dollars. The owners do not ride a mower at this point in their lives.Who are these lawn guys you know who have $25 million?
Especially if you keep your labor costs down. A lot harder to find workers these days for landscaping work.Very common in Florida. One of my best friends sold his lawn/landscaping business for $20 mill about 7 years ago. He wishes he kept it. It’s worth much more now. Annual contracts for the big HOA communities can easily run 2.5 million per year and he had a lot of them. There’s huge money in it and successful companies are constantly buyout targets by national companies and PE.
Yep, I think when I was watching it, I guess it was his company that was worth over a billion that they were reporting and not his personal worth.Byron's compensation at Astronomer has not been made public, but the New York Post estimated his net worth to be between $20 million and $70 million.

Andy Byron's net worth faces significant hit over Astronomer scandal
The Astronomer CEO's resignation from the software development company could prove costly, experts tell Newsweek.www.newsweek.com
Could be off but that's very far from a billion.
Does he actually give to Seton Hall?I only really know of George Kurtz Seton Hall grad Crowdstrike founder and CEO
Best coach ???????????????????????????????I think UConn is the surest thing heading into the season along with Houston and Purdue but I think St. John's is the most talented team on paper with the best coach. If Ian Jackson and Darling can give them good point guard play they are the scariest team in the country.
Maybe Darling can. But Pitino trying to turn Ian Jackson into a PG is going to be a hilarious watch.I think UConn is the surest thing heading into the season along with Houston and Purdue but I think St. John's is the most talented team on paper with the best coach. Yeah man, did you miss all those titles he won with the Celtics?Best coach ???????????????????????????????
Your second line is one of the issues with this board and fanbase. We would've gladly taken literally any of the players Cal beat us for over the years. Was Meleek Thomas "not a UConn kinda kid"? He was far and away the board's #1 want last year. Hamadou? Brandon Knight? The list goes on and on.
Suppose Toure chooses Arkansas, good for him. It's not a slight on his character or that he's not an example of a "UConn" player. I hate it when posters go there when we lose out on a player. Believe it or not, other schools in the country can provide as good, if not a better, experience as UConn. And with today's CBB, $$ is pretty much the #1 thing that matters.
