There is no way UConn or PC are spending that on a recruit. Cal says he doesn’t like freshman but he’s apparently decided he’s not losing this kid. What a lying pos.

PC already spent a lot to have Carrie Underwood at their LNM. That’s not a joke for those of you in disbelief right now.

Hahaha I can’t believe that’s real. kudos to you on maintaining a sense of humor.

You need to show English the door and get someone in with a sustainable recruiting strategy to compete

should really resonate with the kids.
It’s parents weekend. But yes, it’s a pretty crazy choice. Zac Brown last year, although I heard it was awesome as he did a bunch of covers.

Zach Brown is great. I’ve seen him a few times. I can see Zach entertaining college kids. He can play whatever they want to hear with his own twist on it. Just a great band and a cool guy.

I’ve also seen Carrie Underwood twice (at the CMA Festival). I’m kind of done with the whole Carrie Underwood thing. There was just too much of her for too long and now she’s entered the aging icon phase. I just don’t see too many people dying to see her at this point, especially college kids. I’m not even sure the parents care much either.

Regardless, pretty big time get for PC. Kudos.

Talking to folks at the gym this morning whose kids are at ND. He’s announcing today. Apparently Cal offered him $3.2m. They didn’t know what his decisions going to be. I’ll head to the car wash in a bit to confirm.

Cal reeks of a guy who wants a narrative with recruits. “We took Connecticut’s top player away from almighty UConn”. It’s not his money, what does he care.

I would have a hard time believing Arkansas is giving Toure $3.2 million. Even if Calipari is cheating. No way.

That is a lot. But maybe that's if he stays 3 years or something?

Huh?

Lmfaoooooo Providence. UConn gets the guy we want. Providence loses the guy they want 24 hours later. You love to see it

NIL is their professional basketball career to the kids that don't make the NBA, and small change to those who do.

Congrats to FriarJ or whatever the name is for being my first ever muted poster! Just a brutal day for Providence all around, hate to see it.

I am excited for the portal with him after the tournament.
Lol

Heard he wants to start and be the focus. Plus wants a brinks truck of cash

around of applause for @RuffRuff … dude called it! So much for those crystal ball experts
Yeah I’m not throwing spaghetti on here - if I’m tossing some stuff on here you’ll know it’s got some validity behind it. This was from his BFs GF, as weird as that sounds. Don’t ask ;).

The 3.2mm was being tossed around by his coach, probably to inflate the illusion. 1.3mm sounds right, probably not worth more than 750k or so, but market is market. PC was offering 1.4. So he took the 100k haircut to go Cal.

By the way, my "source" confirms 100% Arkansas, despite this crystal ball. I can't reveal, but it's someone tight with the the kid himself, and I mean tight.
Respect for calling it

Kid has always been interested in “getting his bag”. Not uncommon, of course, not a shocker in the current CBB environment, but “two peas in a pod” if he’s actually going to Arkansas, as the saying goes…

It’s the only way he can win these days. He hasn’t figured out a way to do it on the court

I heard he was also given options to acquire a 7.5% ownership stake in the school. The hook is that it's cliff vesting and he has to stay for three years in order to exercise the options.
