I thought I'd seen him on here once but I checked the membership list and his handle isn't listed.Mine too. Someone needs to find him.
And how about lark? Did he make the latest migration to this site, or do I need to reach out to him off-board? He usually had some thoughtful input on stuff that required, well, thought.
I am in.
How bout this for a simple billboard:

Or incorporated somewhere.
I'm in as well. Let's get this done. Billboard is an awesome idea. Don't we have someone who owns a billboard company. Is he still around? He deserves it. We have the ability to be creative and the resources to put something splashy together.
So, what are we going to give him?
Something as simple as a card signed by us?
A billboard near Hartford or Storrs?
An ad inside Gampel this season?
Ten hookers and a case of Cristal sent to his house?
For all the enjoyment this guy gave us, we need to put all the Mojo power together one last time for him and knock his socks off.
Don't want to hijack the thread but here's my idea regarding naming the court:I'm in.
I like the billboard idea and in my opinion the court should be re-named in his honor.
Totally agree about charities vs. billboards. Nicely stated. Here I am. Sorry, life got in the way of boneyarding for a bit.
Thoughful . . . Hmm. Toga?
Billboard is ok with me, and I'm in however I can help. I tend to agree with deep, though, not to be reflexive. Seems to me there are two crucial elements:
1) There has to be a genuine, and heartfelt thank you in a way that will communicate to him not only how much we appreciate what he's done for UConn basketball but also for the Institution. A billboard is nice, but it really speaks to the world, not to him, other than derivatively. Maybe that's good enough -- it's a bold gesture that won't go unnoticed. He's going to be getting more accolades than he knows what to do with in the coming days, but I actually think something that comes from a group he knows represents the most die-hard of his fans will be something he actually takes notice of and -- and this really is the point -- gives him a push into the next phase of his life with a genuine sense of our gratitude.
2) I think everyone is on the mark with saying it should involve one or more of his charties in some fashion.
LOLI'm in, but JC could probably use some training wheels or body armor for riding
