Why? Duke can do a lot better than her. Given the late date and uncertainty for the upcoming season, go with an interim (asst) and make a big hire next year.

GG. It shouldn't matter at this late date. Duke won't be very good in a season that may not happen anyway. Why not put an interim tag on an asst coach and hire next year from what would be a better pool of candidates. Duke can do a lot better than an asst coach who was let go by ND.

Great news for Duke fans. It seemed apparent that she was not going to have her job much longer - her contract ends after this coming year. It's wreaked havoc on recruiting for them. It will be several years before they can even begin to recover, unless they make a splashy hire like Schaeffer to Texas...

Was totally caught off-guard this morning.... I was all prepared for March/April 2021....not July 2. Anyway I was actually doing some research.... ... haven't been to the liquor store in 15 years.... trying to see whats available. If you see something on the news about a middle aged guy wearing a Duke Women's Basketball T-shirt passed out on the sidewalk with a half empty bottle of Yac in his hands..... you will know that I overdid it.

Michelle Clark Heard would be a great hire from Cincinnati. She has a proven track record as a winner and turning programs around. Also, it give Duke an opportunity to add a black coach to a head coaching position, which I don’t think they’ve done before.
