Around January, I became convinced she could go scoreless for the rest of the season and still be drafted #1.

It’s bizarre, the anointment. She’s a good player, and she’s got skill. But she vanished from games way, way more than you’d ever want a lottery pick to do — let alone the #1 overall.
 
Is anyone noticing how Lobo is not pronouncing "t's" in some words? Words such as "important", she pronounces
"impor ant", and "potent she says "po ent". She sounds like a valley girl. Just saying.
 
Texas is playing like Rutgers.

Collier vs Ono. I will take Liv all day long. I really wonder if Collier would have developed differently at Storrs? She is supposed to be the #1 pick in the draft. Interesting.
 
This is a little like our game yesterday. Every time Maryland looks like it's gonna blow it wide open, Texas makes a little run to get back in it.
 
Big time flop by Texas player, didn't work, she got called for the block.
 
Credit Texas for hanging tough, but they've turned this into an ugly scrum. Game started out w/ Maryland playing beautiful basketball.

Not trying to pick on you specifically but is there a mirage effect around Olivia Nelson-Ododa? I have seen multiple instances where posters on here said they would take her over Collier, Boston, and Cunane. All three of those decision seem unwise to me but the latter two egregiously so.

ONO does some things well and is growing immensely as a facilitator, but she is not a physically-dominant center and is already not the best post player on this UConn team, IMO.

I really don't understand all of the media hype. She has a pro frame, and that's about it. My gut at this point thinks she will be very ineffective in the W.

I wonder why Schaefer benched Collier. It’s not like she was the problem.

If we didn't leave Benzan wide open, she doesn't get those two 3-pointers. Seems like Texas started to face guard her more after that.

Texas has to make those bunnies.

Well Maryland is shooting 40%, that's quite a bit better than previous opponents. They've taken 10, probably won't be enough attempts to make a huge impact on their overall % for the Tourney.
