William and Mary kid is from my hometown. I coached him in baseball and he switched to basketball. He had an eye for coaching non-talent.

I don't know why this isn't talked about nationally or even at the local level. It's unbelievable what they're doing, they're both so underrated.
No one understands the significance. Nba, 59/40/90 a big deal. In college, I don’t think sport has caught up to analytic darlings.

Spencer should be player of year IMO. Most efficient and deadly offensive player in the league. But, people are enamored by PPG.

If we had one standout player, he’d get noticed…but when you have a gaggle of them, they tend not to.
Thanks for clarifying. I wasn’t sure if we had a plethora or gaggle of them

KenPom and Sports-Reference have him at 144/290 not 145 FGM, so not quite there yet.

Cam Spencer, UConn Huskies
This one might go against the grain a little bit, since Tristen Newton and even Donovan Clingan are more likely to earn headlines entering the postseason -- but Spencer is the heart and soul of this team. The Huskies also need him to play well if they want to cut down the nets. He's averaging 15.9 points and shooting 47.7% from 3 in wins, but just 5.7 points and 14.3% from 3 in losses.

Well, if we're going to call Spencer "Killer," then perhaps we have a "murder" (as in crows) of standout players. :)
