Without her, we be losing tonight. Kelly is as tough a kid as I've ever seen play.
 
KML just walked back on the court. Leg is heavily wrapped.

Sometimes you have to win ugly like it seems like we're going to do here, failing an total collapse down the stretch. A lot of composure and focus issues tonight, though. Kelly has definitely been a steadying force.

Okay a double foul... but Maryland had 7 fouls.. so why wasn't Step at the line for a 1 and 1? Also it looks like bowling out there or pinball... Our players are being knocked all over the place.

None? ;) Even less offense in the 2nd half than in the first... But a win is a win. Still, not what UCONN fans were expecting. A 15'ish point win - I'm betting the Stanford game is a lot closer...
 
Bad decision of Hartley to drive there. Fresh time on the clock and it wasn't necessary to force the play.

She is making tons of them. I've seen enough of them to know it's not just rust. Think of the frantic drive with the shot clock off at the end of the Notre Dame game in the Final 4 that resulted in a turnover. No rhyme or reason to it. If we want to be a championship team she needs to bring championship intangibles leading from the point. It's not just scoring.

Even Doris is starting to ask questions about Bria. Rebecca defending her.
 
Banks's effort is really impressive to watch in person. Not quite Kelly-like yet, but getting there. She is flat out competing.

Did you watch it? Hackfest and turnover fest. This is turnovers on one side but the fouling hasn't been as out of control. 1st half of UK UL game was hands down the worst I've seen all year except TN GT boys where neither team hit 40.

Yes I watched it. This is no better, not any worse, but no better. Terrible game.
 
Doris keeps harping on how we're not seeing MD at their best. Nor are we seeing UCONN at their best. It wouldn't surprise me if this turns out to be the lowest offensive output of the season. SOME credit to MD but we are missing a lot of shots we usually make.

Well, we won each half but only won the second half by 2.
