Chris Jones says that since fall ball, Christian Fedko has not had his line drive swing, and has been regularly swinging for the fences. The results are not what we are used to from him, and that no doubt helps explain Fedko's frequent absence from the regular lineup this season.
 
Top 3rd, UConn offense strands a runner in scoring position. 3-2 UConn.
 
Bottom 3rd, a no out solo homer off of Stefanoni ties the game a 3. After the homer, Stefanoni issues a rare walk, but Donlan throws out a stolen base attempt. Stefanoni at 47 pitches at the end of the inning.

At least the bats are more active second half of the weekend (even if some have just been loud outs).
 
Bottom 5th, Stefanoni gets the first out of the inning, then Brendan O'Donnell comes in to pitch. O'Donnell faces 3 batters, gets 2 of them out to complete a scoreless inning. 4-3 UConn.

Top 6th, after the first 2 UConn batters reach base, a double play takes the steam out of a potential rally. 4-3 UConn.

Top 7th, Fedko with a leadoff walk, Morton pinch runs, but is thrown out trying to steal for the first time this season, and for that matter, in his UConn career.

Fedko is not hitting for a high average so far this season, but he gets more than his fair share of walks, so his on base percentage is in fine shape.

UConn offense with a scoreless inning. 4-3 UConn.
 
Bottom 7th, Coe walks the leadoff batter, Chudoba coming in to pitch. First batter Chudoba faces gets a single to put runners on the corners with no outs. Donlan throws out a base stealer at 2B for the second out, but the runner from 3B comes in to score on the play. Game tied at 4.
