Men#25 UConn @ Kent State Golden Flashes (Fri. 4/1/22 @3p, Sat. 4/2/22 @1p & Sun. 4/3/22 @ 1p). Games streamed on KSU BoxCast and UConn Audio on Mixlr.
UConn baseball is at the start of a busy early April. They have 12 games in a stretch of 16 days, with no more than 1 day off at a time, and including 1 doubleheader. Pitching and bullpen management going to be interesting.
Coach Penders says the first half of the game, the UConn batters looked like a continuation or sequel of yesterday, and then they made some mid game adjustments, including having everyone choke up on the bat. They looked more like themselves with the bats the second half of the game.
UConn never tweeted out their lineup. Fedko at D.H. today, Korey Morton not in the lineup this Sunday. Otherwise, pretty much the regular lineup we've been seeing. Got the lineup from the stats webpage for this game.

Bottom 1st, a leadoff hit by pitch followed by a no out 2 run homer off of Stefanoni. Following a 1 out double, Kent State leaves a runner on base. 2-0 Kent State.
Chris Jones says that since fall ball, Christian Fedko has not had his line drive swing, and has been regularly swinging for the fences. The results are not what we are used to from him, and that no doubt helps explain Fedko's frequent absence from the regular lineup this season.
Bottom 3rd, a no out solo homer off of Stefanoni ties the game a 3. After the homer, Stefanoni issues a rare walk, but Donlan throws out a stolen base attempt. Stefanoni at 47 pitches at the end of the inning.
Bottom 5th, Stefanoni gets the first out of the inning, then Brendan O'Donnell comes in to pitch. O'Donnell faces 3 batters, gets 2 of them out to complete a scoreless inning. 4-3 UConn.
Bottom 6th, O'Donnell leaves the game with a runner at 1B after a single and 1 out. Garrett Coe coming in to pitch. Coe walks a batter, but ends up with a scoreless inning for UConn pitching. 4-3 UConn.
