21-22 Conference Schedule is Out

-> When it comes to BIG EAST opponents at the XL Center, they begin with UConn's conference opener against Providence on Dec. 18, and also include Butler (Jan. 1), Creighton (Feb. 1), Marquette (Feb. 8), and Villanova (Feb. 22).

At Gampel Pavilion, the BIG EAST opponents are St. John's (Jan. 12), Georgetown (Jan. 25), Seton Hall (Feb. 16), Xavier (Feb. 19) and the regular-season finale against DePaul (March 5). <-

No times in there? Weren't those already announced for the conference games when they announced the BE TV schedule the other day? Can't they just put them on the schedule also?

Times are in the actual schedule, not that article.

The Gampel schedule is weeaaaaaaak sauce. Smh
What did you expect? It was fairly obvious Providence and Nova were going to be XL games. Xavier and Seton Hall are arguably top 4 teams in the conference and those are at Gampel. Only thing I don't like is 8:30 tips at Gampel.

Ok.

I wasn’t aware that it was obvious those would be XL games.

Regardless, what’s the best non conference Gampel game? Grambling State? Should really pump the students up for the season.

As a Gampel season ticket holder, I am immensely disappointed but sadly not shocked. One marquee game (St. Johns) and it's a Wednesday. Get to see the 345th, 217th and 318th best teams from last year as the non-conference slate. Glad the students will get to get up on a Saturday for Grambling and DePaul on the weekends.

Also I didn't notice this until today, but the fact we only have 4 weekend BE games yet 6 on the road is some additional BS.

For those wondering, here are the weekend Big East home games by school:
Plus Creighton, Georgetown, Butler, Seton Hall each have 1 Fri. home game, which is different than Saturday / Sunday but notable

As soon as they become available, I will be buying tix for UConn at Nova on 2/5…gotta have a strong presence for that game!

As an XL season ticket holder I’m pumped with the schedule!

Same! My first year! On a side note I hate the Butler game on Jan 1, I definitely can't make that. So if someone is interested in 2 seats for that game let me know.

Agree. We obviously need to do a better job of getting students to the games, but I still say the Memphis game 2 years ago at XL was louder than any game Ive been to at Gampel…probably an unpopular opinion

I went to the USF game at Gampel. The place was a morgue, student seating maybe 1/3 full. Your "unpopular opinion" is a fact.
