Coach K thinking "Is this hug too long? It feels awkward, but I'm not sure."

Can't wait - something to really look forward to
Worth the season ticket price - at least this year's cost won't seem wasted
My son and I have been waiting for this reunion since they started talking about it last spring

They were also honored 5 years ago .....

I often wonder whether there was any play other than dribble into traffic and flop. I love Langdon's look back at the ref. It is pretty much the same expectant look my dog gives me when she thinks she's getting a treat.

The 1999 National Championship provided great moments for a program rising from the ashes of pre-1985 to the glory of being the TOP DOG. Those who followed that 14 year journey know the hard work of all who contributed over that span. I'm very thankful to all involved for being in Tampa to witness that joyous weekend where the road ended in 1999 and we were #1.

Our chances of winning this one look much smaller now than they did in the moments following our last game vs Cincy. If the AD had money we’d probably see throwback uniforms. Instead they are hawking $30 replicas of the championship T-shirts.

Just bought a T-shirt for me and my dad. I cant wait to wear them to the game on Saturday. It would be a nice twist if they wore the 1999 throwback uniforms for the game.

I kind of figured Ricky wouldnt be there because of everything that happened. Its just sad because he played such a huge part in winning that championship, and all of those guys deserve to be honored for that. Hopefully things get better and he can be there when UConn honors that team for the 25th anniversary.

Doesn't feel like its been 20 years.

Still my favorite part of that last play is how Ricky - who had been guarding Langdon most of the night, switched to guard William Avery on the inbound pass denying him the ball and thus forcing Langdon who was a shooter not a ball handler to bring the ball up and eventually flop on the floor.

The Alaskan Assassin was the only reason they were still in the game at the end. That's what made it so nice when he tripped himself.

In case anyone was wondering, here's the seat availability. Maybe not a sellout, but hopefully something close to Zona attendance wise

But hopefully a better result at the end....

They doing a t-shirt or poster giveaway? Anything?

It was Jim Nantz - during the broadcast of the championship game who said that.

Actually, I believe it was none other than Billy Packer who shocked everyone when he said something positive about UConn.

Ratface: "I coach for relationships."

Lest anyone forget how much Duke was favored that game, I saved a clipping from the Tampa Tribune titled "Who's gonna win?" Forty-seven sportswriters gave their picks. Only seven picked UConn. The pantload from Lexington picked Kentucky. Old friends Mark Blaudschun and Ken Davis picked UConn by three. Davis saying UConn had done a good job doubling down on big men. Many pickers said UConn couldn't stop Elton Brand. Pat Forde picked Duke by 15 and said he wasn't convinced it would be that close. I'm trying to post the photo but I am encountering sizing issues. Any tips?
