Was at a concert last night (sports isn't everything). Some thoughts on Grant;
- She was not the primary distributor: That was Nivar with 130, followed by Aarnisalo with 105. Grant, however, did have 77.
- However, she was in for her shooting: 42% on three-pt. shots and 44% overall.
- 5'8" and not a particularly adept defender, but a good coach can hide that a bit.
- I don't think the Harpring arrival is the primary cause here. Nivar is done, so there's technically room in the backcourt -- Banghart was playing three guards as often as not.
- Don't see her in the SEC with the rock 'em, sock 'em defense.
- With all due respect to our UConn Colleagues who want to stockpile talent, Fudd may be leaving but there are a number of other shooters that have been waiting their turn. I'm thinking Kayleigh Heckel thinks she should be on the court. A lot.
Plus, there's a lot of frontcourt players that should be seeing the ball. Grant will know this.
- My morning gut: The Va. native stays local and joins Megan Duffy at Va. Tech.
