I like trial by combat. Let's make a deal with Netflix and the B1G for a four team round-robin tournament. Winner gets into the B1G, second place gets a set of steak knives, third and fourth place have their programs dissolved.UConn, Memphis, Tulane and USF, the only real candidates for P4 promotion, have to choose their cross engagement very carefully.
Huskies sports fan in New Haven? Minimal chance UConn schedules an away football game with Yale nor any FCS opponent, but New Haven area residents had 2 games this weekend to cheer on the Huskies in the Elm City.Would be nice if Uconn plays Yale in the bowl. Plenty of Uconn fans down here in southern Connecticut. Think about us for once. We buy season tickets too. While you are at it Mr. Benedict how about a baseball game in New Haven.
fbschedules.com sez their No. 12 will be an fcs teamAI gave me FIU. Let's see how accurate it is/was...
Southern Miss?A home-and-home agreement with a future game at The Rent is a positive. Not exactly an away game in a likely UConn recruiting target area nor close to many players’ families, alumni nor other Huskies’ fans, and definitely not The Grove, but not quite as stark a destination as Starkville. /s
No we play this new opponent on the road, we’ll have 7 home gamesSo 8 home games... why would we do that especially since it won't count towards anything
Yes my response was to the 2nd FCS post above. I always forget to quote it in responseNo we play this new opponent on the road, we’ll have 7 home games
Oh, for cryin out loud. When Yale was good, they flat out refused to play in Storrs. Screw 'em.Think about us for once.
Who is it ?No we play this new opponent on the road, we’ll have 7 home games

Subscribing to Storrs Central is a good thing. BUT UConn is a PUBLIC entity. As a general matter, having nothing to do with UConn sports, it’s not a good thing that the state wants to withhold information even for a short time from the entire public and charge people for early access to it. Unless you think it would be fine to give election results first to those willing to pony up more dough.Subscribe to Storrs Central. The money helps NIL
They are not withholding public info. They are withholding insider info before they announce publicly. We are talking about a college football game that is 9 months away not an election.Subscribing to Storrs Central is a good thing. BUT UConn is a PUBLIC entity. I do, can find nothing about a 12th game on SC. Where is it?Subscribe to Storrs Central. The money helps NIL
It’s on the general discussions - football thread.I do, can find nothing about a 12th game on SC. Where is it?
My guess is that UConn and the other school will not announce the game until the contracts are signed as things can change.Subscribing to Storrs Central is a good thing. BUT UConn is a PUBLIC entity. Do you really think the state is involved with which sourced rumors are shared on a message board?Subscribing to Storrs Central is a good thing. BUT UConn is a PUBLIC entity. You are allowed to “withhold” information on a contract that is under negotiation, though. Guessing that is what going on here. Once the agreement is locked down they will announce it. The fact that some individual or group has leaked the information is interesting but not relevant.Subscribing to Storrs Central is a good thing. BUT UConn is a PUBLIC entity.
