He’s a pure 4. Not chance he can play the 5Perfect reserve 4/5 here.

So April 26?Alex has already been noted on saying his decision to go NBA will be final by the deadline. He isn't going to test the waters like last time.
Yeah that is the deadline for him to make a decision. Hopefully he makes it today but I have a feeling it is going to the end or maybe the 25th. Ugh.So April 26?
I get that this is just a random youtuber with less than 1k subscribers, but the fact someone took the time to make this video is intriguing.
At some point we are going to need a definition of "bag thrower." UConn is estimated at $8 million and counting -- so anyone more than that number is "throwing bags" and anyone with less is "cheap and needs to get serious if they want to remain competitive"? When UConn adds Miller and a fair-priced emergency center and rises up to the $10 million threshold do we become "bag throwers" or does the definition of "bag thrower" also evolve just as it did last year when UConn was closer to $5 million and anyone at $8 million was a "bag thrower"?Eh, his best offers outside of us are BYU, Louisville, and…. Indiana?
Not a whole bunch of great programs besides us. Just a few bag throwers.

That's ideal on defense for the high hedge, he'll have the chance for a ton of blocks at the 4 spot if he comes here. It's going to make the high hedge even more successful than it has beenI like he is even bigger than Karaban so he would really help our defense with his ability to block shots similar how Karaban did this past year. Though unlike Karaban I think he got more of his blocks on help defense

The rim protection would be a huge help because as it stands, I’m not sure where that is coming from on this roster….That's ideal on defense for the high hedge, he'll have the chance for a ton of blocks at the 4 spot if he comes here. Yeah that is my worry as Karaban really stepped up his Defense with 1.5 block. Though Reed actually average about the same blocks as Samson Johnson per minutes. Problem is I don't think Reibe is going to block the same amount of shots as Johnson did on a per minute basis. The rim protection would be a huge help because as it stands, I’m not sure where that is coming from on this roster….

I get that Samson is leaving, but Reed led the team in blocks per game last year with 1.6 (Samson and Karaban at 1.5). So I'm not too concerned about that, it should be solid again with Reed and then Karaban or a transfer at the 4Yeah that is my worry as Karaban really stepped up his Defense with 1.5 block and with Samson leaving we lost a good shot blocker. Reed and Reibe really won't make up for that.
Being discussed in the long transfer portal thread since there's no evidence yet that UConn has shown interest. Which is what I thought this thread was for.Former Duke and Ohio State 4 star PF Sean Stewart entered the portal Tuesday. 6'9" and reportedly an eye-popping athlete. Has two years eligibility.
Tarris Reed had the highest block % on the team, so for one, he'll provide it.The rim protection would be a huge help because as it stands, I’m not sure where that is coming from on this roster….
I think he is more worried when Reed is in foul trouble or needs a rest. Who is going to deter shots in the middle. Reibe doesn't seem like much of a shot blocker.Tarris Reed had the highest block % on the team, so for one, he'll provide it.
That and while Reed gets his blocks, he definitely has his deficiencies as a help defender, such that I’d want another player in there that can help with that. Reed isn’t overly quick so he tends to not be in position to contest as many shots as I’d like. We had a few too many layup line stretches last season, where opposing teams were able to pull Tarris out and pretty much took what they wanted at the rim.I think he is more worried when Reed is in foul trouble or needs a rest. Unfortunately it’s slim pickings as we waited too long. While Pitino is signing imposing sized talent Mitchell just signed and the other transfers he’s brought in, they have the #1 transfer class. We saw this coming and Pitino said this is what he was doing, we won’t have the physical players to compete with them. Having a skinny 6’11” Baba won’t help against the Johnnie’s. We need a Darrion Williams type now.So it’s Darrion Williams or nothing for you? Isn’t Miller better than nothing? There are literally no better PFs left in the portal than those two. Walter Clayton transferred up from a mid major and did alright and FAU was in the final 4 two years ago.
How will we compete against a guy who shot 29% from 3 and 39% from the FT line?Unfortunately it’s slim pickings as we waited too long. No kidding. Tell that to the posters here who said a few weeks ago I should stop clutching my rosary beads.Alex isn’t waiting until May to make a final decision; whatever he decides in the coming days, that decision is final. There’s no test the waters and maybe come back, if he goes, he’s gone. Roster make up will be clear in the next few days. But, I do wish we had a decision already.
