2025 NBA Draft Thread

I don’t hate the Kon comparison, but isn’t Kon like 6’6 or 6’7 and bulky? Kon also had to show a lot of on ball promise to be a top 10 draft pick.
It wasn't a comparison of their games, he was just saying that Mullins and Kon were both lower on draft boards because of their weaknesses and he thinks Mullins will overcome that just like Kon did

James Bouknight is on Portland’s Summer League roster. I’d love to see him find his way back to the NBA, I just don’t know how likely it is.

Evidently Bouk reinvented himself in G League last year from a gunner to a more complete player, passing almost to a fault. Hope it helps him stick in Portland and he gets his 2-way contract converted.

Did he recently sign a 2way contract?

No, he does not have a two-way contract. He had an Exhibit-10 contract with the Trail Blazers last year. Their current two-way players are Caleb Love and Sidy Cissoko, and they have 13 players under contract, per Spotrac.

I’m not sure what their plans are for Justin Minaya or Bryce McGowens. As of now, there are two roster spots open, as well as a two-way. Bouknight was okay in the G League last year. He still can’t really shoot from outside (30.4% from 3). I’m rooting for him, but he has an uphill battle.

If it comes down to McGowens or Bouknight I’m pretty sure they pick McGowens. Bouk had a solid year with their G League team but McGowens was the star of that team averaging something like 30 points a game
