It’s not that it’s a stepping stone as that it’s impossible to follow Saban. Throw in that Deboer isn’t a southerner and the SEC is brutal , and it’s a tough place.

I don't know much about Moore and the "inappropriate relationship", but that is a pretty screwed up move by Warde Manuel to essentially get kids (yes, to me they're still kids) to effectively enter into a contract under false pretenses.

I kind of don't care what happened to their coach, but Warde Manuel should be kicked out on his butt... where he can "monitor" the unemployment line...

If UM knew the head coach was involved in inappropriate and 'potentially' criminal activity- they should be strongly sanctioned and heavily fined. Michigan always puts itself on academic and moral pedestal- that's 2 FB coaches with questionable ethics.

I don't know much about Moore and the "inappropriate relationship", but that is a pretty screwed up move by Warde Manuel to essentially get kids (yes, to me they're still kids) to effectively enter into a contract under false pretenses..

Because of the coaching change they get extra time .

• UConn bypassed by Louisville for the final life-raft off the G5 (prior to Pac-12 implosion)
• Bob Diaco hire and starting the extension process (which Benedict inherited) after the 2015 bowl (Houston upset) season
• Kevin Ollie hire (admittedly forced on him by Calhoun)
• Jim Harbaugh situation & Sign-Stealing Scandal
• Juwon Howard situation
• Sherrone Moore situation
• Hockey coaching scandal

While Michigan doesn't care about the first three, I can't imagine after everything Manuel survives a fourth major scandal/situation in the last few years.
