Can anyone explain why he kept Coe in for 55 pitches?
I think he was hoping to steal another inning of him with the 7-8-9 batters coming up. Definitely not the right choice in hindsight with the errors

On the plus side, it's a matter of time before Stanford runs out of pitching. In the minus side, we may run out first.

Northeast baseball in a nutshell. Hate to see it. Great effort boys just not meant to be

We have too little margin for error to make as many mistakes as we have. That grand slam should never have happened because the inning should have been over.

Bushling needed to catch the popped up but too… he does that the pick off throw never happens
He couldn't, he was charging in for the bunt. The errors are unacceptable though.

I'm not able to watch at the moment but I have my suspicions that the spot was too big for us. Stanford doesn't seem that much ahead of us but we wilted in a couple spots and they didn't.

Unfortunately, we are not the better team. Balls we hit to the track, they hit out. Add that our dominant pitcher only gave us 4 outs in the series, and this is what is.

I would have given Cooke more innings -- despite the start, I still think that was our best chance. But it is what it is. If we don't come back, it was a very strong year.

Like I said, for UConn it all starts and feeds off the starting pitching, it's what keeps them in games. If UConn only gets a couple innings from their starter (like they did yesterday and today), it is not a good sign at all for what is to come.

While I don't expect mistake free college baseball from any team, the mistakes, errors and such certainly aren't helping the cause.

Top 5th, 2 runners on base for UConn, they are at the corners with 2 outs. They are stranded.

Stanford has a lot more big league talent and a lot more power but it's there for the taking if they execute, they haven't executed on anything since they scored 3 in the first with 0 outs.

When you're less talented you have to do the little things a lot better than the other team and we've done them a lot worse than them.

Love Donlan, but this hasn’t been a good series for him.

Doing a nice job getting runners on base. Just don’t have the lineup full of hitters like Stanford.

Bottom 5th, Stanford with a leadoff solo homer, 9-3. Sullivan coming out, Braden Quinn coming in.
