Temple Grad Transfer Jaden Blue:

-> A 6-foot, 190-pound Maryland native with one remaining year of eligibility, Blue, 247Sports' fourth-highest rated receiver in the portal, has had some notable interests since he entered the portal. Penn State, Florida State, Mississippi State and Texas A&M reached out early in his process. And while his only offers so far are from UConn and Tulane, Blue believes more will come once things are more settled with the coaching carousel and the Early Signing Period.

“There’s a bunch of schools that have me on their radar,” Blue said. “It’s just a matter of us getting in contact and them figuring out their numbers and where things are going to fit.”

Blue hopes to make a final decision at the end of December so he can get to his next school and start developing a chemistry with his new quarterback. <-

Clay Millen, QB for Nevada, is now in the portal. Was speculation his brother was visiting last week but still hasn't been in the portal and already transferred from Ore to NAU. Wondering if it was Clay on campus last weekend.

I don't think he could be on an official visit without being in the portal.

Not much new that hasn’t already been discussed somewhere on here but…

-> It’s why Mora and his staff are scouring the transfer portal for immediate help. The Huskies want to bring in at least one veteran quarterback to provide competition, not to mention insurance in case Phommachanh isn’t ready coming off a major injury. They recently offered Nolan Henderson, a fifth-year senior from Delaware, but no visit is imminent. They’re likely to patient in their pursuit.

One potential target, Clemson sophomore Taisun Phommachanh — Tyler’s older brother — is looking elsewhere.

UConn’s more focused on high school recruits at the moment, hoping to secure another commitment or two before the NCAA’s early signing period begins Wednesday. The Huskies have several offers out to Class of 2022 targets, including ones to Brophy College Prep’s (Ariz.) Elijah Warner — the son of former NFL two-time MVP Kurt Warner — St. Thomas Aquinas’ (Fla.) Zion Turner, and Hoover High’s (Ala.) Bennett Meredith, a former Northwestern commit. Warner, a three-star prospect ranked by 247Sports, took an official visit to Storrs last weekend. <-

Maybe this was already mentioned here but 247 has NJ TE Matt Hoffman dropping his VT commitment for UConn. Hoffman has a country strong fame with good speed and reach. Very interesting recruit that could develop nicely.

Nigel Fitzgerald will take an official visit to UConn tomorrow. He is a 6’5” grad transfer WR from Old Dominion with 3 years of eligibility left. He only had one reception in 2021, but in 2019 played in all 12 games, starting three at wide receiver and caught 14 passes for 219 yards. He was a 2 star WR coming out of high school.

A grad transfer with 3 years of eligibility. Wild.

I really think he's going to be great for us here. He moves so fast laterally
Agree….Rosa is a dynamic athlete, can line up at RB, WR or in the slot. He can create mismatches in coverage for a LB or SS. Would love to see him and Brewton deep on kickoff returns.

To me he’s a combination of Nick Williams, Arkeel Newsome and Robbie Frye…speed, wiggle and power.

I think he ends up being a corner or safety .
