For all the angst here about our coaching staff, they have to be given credit for not mailing it in, even after being notified their contracts won't be renewed after the season. I suspect that's not always the case when you're worried about paying next year's bills.

Love Corey as a recruiter. If he can get the Florida decommits to reconsider, add in some new Florida recruits, & keep the Texas commits from wavering, every penny spent on this trip is well spent.

Is this some personal vendetta? Why the petty remarks?
Corey has done an outstanding job building a recruiting base in FL and TX and, at the same time, doing a great job with the tight ends. For what he's paid, and how young he is, we've been lucky to have him and I, for one, would hope the new coach will give him a fair shot at staying with the Huskies.

My guess is they'll look good to prospective employers if they're able to keep recruits committed, show the flag for UConn, show they are solid citizens not bailing on their jobs so they'll look good to other schools and, as old fashioned as it might seem, fulfill the terms of their contracts.

This will test Corey's ability to keep recruits committed. If Sallis stays true to his commitment, Corey deserves consideration to be on the staff of the FHC.

Yup… If he was my kid, I’d encourage the same… part of the process. From what I hear he wants to be in Storrs - just need a new coach/staff to give him the warm & fuzzies.
