Consider the source.I don’t know what to make of their talk about the schools involved as our latest transfer was supposed to go to UCF according to them

Of course, Jarell Miller never played a down from scrimmage.FWIW, if he had signed with UConn out of high school in the 2022 class, he would have been the 2nd highest ranked recruit ever on 247 behind Jarell Miller…
Mike Bowe is a 6-3 225lb LB from Plantation Florida who attended City College of San Francisco, Independence C.C and City College of San Francisco before graduating from New Mexico State University (Grad Transfer w/ one year of eligibility remaining). Other offers from from Bethune-Cookman and North Carolina Central
Highlights
Stumbled across this on my Twitter suggested feed today…
Unfortunatly, I guess he's down to these 2.Wow, that would be a huge pick up for the LT, though it looks like a B1G school is stepping heavy into the mix............ Jazston Turnetine is 6-7 340 OL from Ellenwood Georgia>Hutchinson CC>University of South Carolina (Transfer Portal). Other offers from ArkState, BGSU, Houston, FSU, LaTech and Northern Iowa.

Guessing PWO Commit Konopka decided to head to BGSU instead:
Kayode Oladele is a 6-5 250lb DL from Miami, Florida>Memphis (Transfer Portal). Other offer from Georgia Southern. Appears to have one year of eligibility remaining?
Quite the offer list coming out of high school.

This is insane but apparently necessary. They have brought in 40 players and still may not be done. Practically half a new roster.

Weren't the Diaco kids all gone after last year? I think Randy's diamonds in the rough strategy had lost it's fastball. For 1, almost all kids get seen, we've seen a rise of FBS/G5 programs come online like UNC Charlotte, Coastal Carolina etc., Giving kids from down there more options to play FBS ball closer to home, and he no longer had the promise of the Big East/BCS to sell.I don't think there's any doubt it was necessary. The Diaco recruiting in particular was simply abysmal. We were slow beyond words.
Now, whether Mora can integrate all this is another matter. I would have to imagine it's going to take some time.

UConn and any coach here going forward has to embrace the transfer portal as a reality. To write them off at large is shooting yourself in the foot.
